We spent over £ 2,200 buying a bathroom suite from this company. It was delivered on time on the agreed date....all OK so far. Whilst waiting for the delivery we had quotes from a few plumbers , opted for one and he told us when he could start the job.....still all OK. Plumber started to install the new suite and noticed a chip in the basin when he took the basin out of the cardboard box it was supplied in ( box completely undamaged by the way ). My wife rang the shop where we purchased the suite and told them of the damage , she was told that because it was over 28 days since it was delivered there was nothing they could do. She rang them on the morning of day 32 , just 4 days after this 28 day cut off. The best they could offer was that they would sell us a new basin for the same sale price that we had paid , instead of the current price. I think that that is a bit out of order. Fair enough if we had called them 6 months after it was delivered but 4 days....come on !. I fully understand that there has to be some sort of cut off date for things such as this , but I would of thought there could be some sort of discretion in certain situations ( such as contacting them just 4 days after this date ).So if you buy anything from Bathstore.com MAKE SURE that you fully inspect every item within 28 days of it being delivered to you or you are knackered ( as we are ). They have no concept of customer relations and do not value a customer that has spent ( what I consider anyway ) a reasonable amount of money with them , in what are very trying financial times for any company.
