My wife bought an hour glass shaped 'chrome' plated plastic stool with a concave surface. Oneday in June last year I came into the spare room to find the stool reflecting sunlight onto drying clothes on a rack. The room was full of smoke and there was a 2 pence sized hole in a brand new pair of shorts. I tried all kinds of diplomatic reasoning with them for a refund, a new pair of shorts and a request for consumers to be warned and they basically blew me off stating that it should have been treated as a mirror as it is a reflective surface - go figure - how many plastic mirrors do you buy for sitting on? I'm not finished with them yet. If anyone has any advice do tell. I lived at the time on the 3rd floor and had I not been home, there may not now be a home!!! As a designer myself, I used to have a lot of respect for this company - no longer, they like so many companies today, who are non contactable, without spending literally hours of searching and waiting in phone queues. I still have the shorts as evidence, as well as the stool. This stool never came with a warning label stating keep out of rooms with the window open.
