After reading some of the other experiences, I'm left amazed that people / companies operate in such a manner.
I wasn’t fortunate enough (as some of the other victims) to receive a reply on my emails sent before the event took place on the 18th of September 2009. Luckily I had the presence of mind to keep a UK cell phone number upon which they contacted me 2 weeks before the concert. Apparently I didn’t fully complete the online order and they were finding out if I needed to buy more tickets for Coldplay.
I sent them 5 emails before the show, making enquiries as to the whereabouts of my tickets (including 2 days before the show) but none of my emails were ever answered. They had my contact details but they didn’t bother to call me to put me at ease as I indicated my distress in my emails. I must also mention that I tried to call them on the number I had been contacted on before but was never answered (accept see below).
On Wednesday, 16 September 2009 (2 days before the event) I spoke to a lady but she was very rude from the very onset. Her “advice” to me was to stick to my phone and wait to be contacted”. When I explained to her that none of my emails had been answered she got angry and told me that I would “do as she said or else.” I asked her “or else what?” and she replied “that she would cancel the booking”. I proceeded to explain to her that I didn’t wish to cancel the concert and that I was merely concerned about the whereabouts of my tickets as it was less than 2 days before the show at which point she decided to call “me a stupid idiot”…. and hung up on me.
I was shocked but calmed myself and called back 1 hour later and this time a guy answered the phone. He informed me that my booking had been cancelled and that a full refund had been initiated. He told me that if I had anymore questions that I should send them an email. I told him that I didn’t want to cancel the booking as I really wanted to go but he informed me that that there was nothing he could do. I complained to him about his colleague but he informed me that I had been rude and therefore I have only myself to thank. I also complained about I’d been waiting for a response on my various emails sent before but he insisted that they did send at least one email. I also asked him to repeat himself (as he had a heavy accent) but he refused. He then said that the reason I didn't receive any email was because my email filter was blocking their address (which wasn’t true as I have never used it). He also said that a refund had been initiated and that it would take up to 28 days as it was their bank's policy. As I’m a business owner, I told him that the bank couldn’t determined the companies “refund policy” at which point he decided tell me that he was too busy too take anymore questions and proceeded to put the phone down on his desk while I was still connected. After 5 minutes I was put on hold and after another 5 minutes, I ended the call as it was clear that they were not going to take my call.
My wife also called but they told her that the concert had been cancelled but she also said that they were very rude to her. From the above, I would not recommend using this company as it’s not worth all the trouble. I can honestly say nothing positive about my experience with this company.
