This company came and quoted me to have my cavity wall insulated and gave me a price of £319.
I went ahead with the work, which made a lot of mess which the workmen failed to clean up, when I asked about this I was met with the rather curt answer "cleaning up isn't my job"
They then proceeded to provide me with an invoice for over £500! When I queried this with the office I was told that my property was too big and I had to pay excess. I requested a copy of the paperwork.
When I received the paperwork in the post the writing and signature was not mine so I have contacted the proper authorities regarding this very serious matter.
This company brings a whole new meaning to the word 'Unprofessionalism'
How they are allowed to carry out grant work is beyond me, every person who has contacted me from this company has had no idea what they are doing, the workmen are even worse. They were rude and very unhygenic. I couldn't wait for them to leave. I checked the loft after they had finished and they had only done half of it, When I rang up regarding this Excelsior would not send someone out to complete the rest. I ended up having to pay to get it completed.
This company carried out work for me and my wife through the grants agency EAGA. After missing several appointments and saying that it they showed up but I didn't answer the door they proceeded to totally ruin my loft. Insulation was basically thrown everywhere. To make matters worse I now have damp and have consulted a solicitor regarding it.
