I am writing to inform you of our great displeasure in having to deal with the most disorganised and miss managed company we have ever come across.
We ordered a Lined Ash kitchen with all the appliances from kitchens for less on the 17th May 2009 and paid £500 deposit. The balance we were told had to be paid on delivery by way of bankers draft or cash. We received a telephone message on the 4th of August asking us to contact them to arrange delivery. I contacted them on the 5th at 3:00pm and asked about the delivery and was informed they would look into it and get back to us. They rang us at 4:30pm and we were told that the kitchen was on a van and would be with us at 8:00pm that same evening, WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!. I explained to the lady that we could not possibly have the bankers draft sorted out for that time and the lady handed me over to the transport manager. I agreed with the transport manager to take delivery on the 7th of August by which time we would have the bankers draft for £4500. I took a day off work and waited and waited and waited until late afternoon when I rang to enquire the status of our delivery. I was informed that no one on any of the phone numbers I rang had any idea what I was talking about and there was no sign of our kitchen. I have rang on numerous occasions since and have been fed a load of lies and empty promises. At the moment, We are still waiting for them to get back to us. We have reached a position now where our extension to the house is complete and we had no alternative but to find a reputable kitchen supplier, who can come up with the goods at such short notice.
it looks like we have lost £500 but it could have been worse they could have turned up with a load of rubbish and then we might have lost the full £5000.
We will be reporting this lot to Trading standards as well as all the other Consumer agencies we can find. legal action is also on the cards.....
DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS SO CALLED COMPANY!
After parting with £1,400 we are left with an incomplete, half beach, half oak 'kitchen'. I have had 4 days off work waiting for the replacement of kitchen units but to no avail. I have rung Customer Services constantly, can never get through and on the odd occassion when I do speak to somebody they give me another delivery date ............
I wish I had stumbled across this site before I had saved really hard for the kitchen from these people, I cannot believe the delivery time was 11.45pm to start with...The driver ticked things off his sheet and said everything is there and there was that much stuff I wouldnt have been able to check every little item while he was there,I told him the fridge freezer was a 60/40 I ordered 50/50 he said to keep it and call cust serv and he will let them know and he written this on delivery note (so glad now I kept it cos I dont believe I would have got one)- when I did check everything there was alot of items missing (most expensive ones) I have rang numerous times it is constantly engaged, written to them, address doesnt exist, emailed James Holden propiertor of the business, no reply, Trading Standards in Doncaster were very interested to hear from me,and I have today emailed Watchdog..If you are considering using this company dont bother, I didnt even click when they insisted on cash on delivery - how nieve Ive been - I work within a very large company and have emailed them all to let their friends and family know about this company. They work under many names, be aware!!cheapestkitchensintheworld.com. kitchens for Less.rock solid kitchens(thats laughable in itself). Please pay more elsewhere to get the products and service you have worked hard for...
