Ordered a pair of boots on 16/1/10, sent a query on sizes the next day, got a reply from them on 26/1/10 after a chasing email, and the boots arrived a few days later. Lovely pair of boots, unfortunately they didn't fit so returned them on 4/2/10 asking for a refund. Have heard nothing since. Wish I'd seen this site first.
I ordered boots on 9 Dec 09 from this company after hearing Gok's comments about it. It's noe the end of March and have not received my boots. After reading the othre comments I will try to get my money back vian my Credit Card Company. Wish I had known how bad they really are!!
Just read all the comments, order boots from these people mid sept, heard nothing, chased by email and tried phone (answer phone). Received email reply after 2nd chase that boots ordered where out of stock. I have been offered a bespoke pair at same price, waiting time of 4 weeks. Emails are from a lady call Val Langley. Anyone else had contact from her or has anyone visited the address? Not sure what to do now, need boots for winter!
And so it continues - I ordered a pair on 8/8/09 and still no boots. How are these companies allowed to continue to trade when clearly there are lots of people complaining, how many more people will get ripped off before someone does something ?
crisurf- people aren't moaning that they aren't getting their boots in a fortnight. Orders are not fulfilled and returns not send and refunds not given in majority of cases. If this was a reputable company watchdog wouldn't be so interested in these stories (as looking at fiitedbootstore.co.uk they are). Channel 4 have even removed their endorsement. Boots are not handmade either and are not bespoke to the measurements- they are wide and ultra wide etc. Do some research before you "talk up" a company to people who are at their wits end trying to get money back. Not tactful and you are not speaking on behalf of a majotity.
i ordered bespoke boots from this co in may and have not received them.i have spoken to them once when they assured me my boots were going into the factor that night and would take another couple of weeks to get to me.Well as it is now august i have requested my credit card look into this as a disputed transaction and have now got my money back however i do not think the credit card co has had the money back from them yet. Do not buy from this company.i have also noticed that the website is still advising the same delivery times and this is clearly rubbish.
I also ordered boots from fittedbootstore back in Jan 09 and even though i've sent many emails and tried to phone I have only had communication from them once via the phone when I spoke to a woman who told me the computers went down and orders were slow and I would receive my boots in the next couple of weeks, that was back on 3rd March. I have now sent them a letter with copies of all correspondence and given them 14 days to reply or give me a refund. When the 14days are up I will take this further with trading standards, small claims and will email watchdog and channel 4.
The feedback from Lardylegs on 20th June reads like an advert from the shop itself rather than a complaint. Why it was even so helpful as to give the telephone number and say they really are really nice people trying very hard...honest.
