This is part of a larger company that trades from a catalogue. The holding organisation is Scotts & Co. The other organisations under its belt are: Scotts of Stow, The Original Gift Co, Expert Verdict, Ancestral Collections, Stow Grange, Viva direct, Presents direct, Cucina Direct and Solutions from Renwoods. All these names are Scotts & Co. I called them (Expert Verdict) to make an order of a Power TX exercise machine. After placing the order and hanging up, I read the small print, as I felt the agent had not given me much information about delivery. I found that their normal delivery time was very slow - 14-28 days, so I called back to take their express service instead. The woman I spoke to said that the computer wouldn't let her proceed with it as the item was out of stock (I was not originall told the item was out of stock) so could I phone back in a few days time to try then. I agreed. I phoned back 5 days later, to be told that the order was cancelled!! I asked why and was told that I'd cancelled it!!! I made it plain to them I was angry for such a stupid mistake on their part. I also asked whether the item was in stock. It was. I asked if they could express deliver it. The answer from the guy was a plain no. They could not express it as it came from another suppler!!! Why was I not told this 5 days earlier? The guy had no idea of course. I told him I was totally disatisfied with the service so far and asked him what he was going to do to put it right and make me a happier customer, otherwise I would tell many others of the aweful service (this blagg). After a two minute hold on the line, he said there was nothing he could do... Pretty pathetic really and another contribution to unreliable Britain.
