I know this company very well, they are not at all who they say they are, First of all their company web site has been under construction since it was designed, 2) they gat you information from magazines which you have already advertised in, 3)Don't bother arguing with them, Just put the phone down. 4) they are not based in London either, they have a back street office in Manchester.

Same situation. They said I had a verbal agreement too which I can't remember either. Have told them countless times that we can't go ahead with the advert because we are changing business premises so couldn't confirm an address. Move should have been August but we are only just about to sign lease. I didn't want to commit because of the info required in the ad.
We told them that we couldn't go ahead & now we have had a final demand letter saying that if we don't pay in 7 days action will be taken against us.
We have no proof the company exists - websit still ynder construction. We have no proof advert & even after requests no proof the publication exists.
We also received a call from 'The Telephone Preference Service' stating only companies with a password could contact us. 5 Mins after giving a password PL called! 'Telephone Pref'
asked to let them have a previous charity publication for them to look at that we advertised in. They sent a courier but my partner refused to let them have anything & we were told by the courier that they were sent by PL! Not 'The Telephone Pref' company that we thought they were! We were duped into advertising this company - they have been reported to Trading Standards by us too.
Just wait til we see them in court!

This company has contacted me claiming that I have verbally agreed to an advert some 6 months ago. I have no recollection of this agreement. They are insisting that I did and we have a verbal contract. Details of the advert read to me were a simple plagiarism of another advert placed in another magazine.

Has anyone else had problems with this company?
