I am so relieved to read that other people like myself have also been harrased with pressure phone calls from Sunny Meadows ltd and that I am not the only person suffering this company.
The initall phone call was to say that in March this year(2009)I had verbally agreed to take on some advertising, I had never heard of this company before and was confused as to what was going on, the phone calls continued both on the land line and mobile every few days with heavy pressure insisting that I was liable through a verbal contract to pay £172 which would support road safety awarness. The paper work arrived and the brochures advertising my company logo, which was nothing like the logo I use, not sure where it came from. To be brief this problem has now been going on for three months, I have been to Citizens advice, Consumers advice, a report to the police and bt trace a call. They now have sent a letter to say that if I do not pay they will take me to court. I was stupid enough through being pressurised to give out my information they say that they have made a recording. I was advised through the CAB to write a letter to Sunny Meadows Ltd with a cheque for £50 as a gesture but this cheque has now been returned from them not accepted. I am so fed up with this company that I will go to court as I feel what they are doing to the public is terrible they need to be stopped. I will be glad to hear from anyone who can give me some advice as to what to do next.
