An e:mail popped up in my e:mail from a former employee. I think that anyone reading this blog will find it interesting. I think that he/she wrote to me by mistake (I think that the individual might be referring to an earlier post as I certainly don't know anything about the way BT Customer Street were treated by BT). Alternatively, he/she may have sent this post to everyone who has posted. Anyway, as follows:

you need to get your facts right, i worked for bt customer street for years and no one was sacked, we all got a very very good redundency package and free independent legal advice before settling, we were not phoned with the news, i now do the same thing for another comapny and relish taking money off greedy idiots like yourself thinking there is a 1 stop fix for all marketing and advertising! im very glad you didnt get any results and lost money, maybe you will learn from the experience and then i can call you again and take more money! BT paid us all very well and looked after us with amazing incentives! i earned over £80k a year with bt customer street and mugs like yourself!

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO OUR MONEY AND WHO WILL MAINTAIN OUR PACKAGE

This is the best news that I have had in a long time. Like most people here, oversold/missold, no business from the site, very poor templates, etc. Agressive customer services staff and harrassed "account managers" who turned out to be sales staff trying to get me to spend more money. Total waste of £500. Locked into a 12 month contract that I couldn't get out of. Not chuffed bunny but this really has made my day!

Good news to everyone they have sacked all the sales staff at lancaster and true to form did it all on a phone call and did not even have the balls to tell staff to their faces . They have also shut down the barrow branch . I wonder if BT share holders know??? . Seems to me BT bought a dummy off unfindus for over 20 million then proceeded to lose money hand over fist , probably because they had to refund a large percentage of customers within 5 days . Hopefully this will be the end of unfindus customer street etc and open the door to smaller buinesses doing the same job but with out the mis selling . good riddance

I am furious with myself about Customer Street, I was contacted a few days before Christmas, given the hard sell, and it all sounded fantastic. Against my better judgement - I normally will not commit to anything from cold callers - I signed up. It was only when I got all the paperwork through, delayed because of the Xmas break, that I saw the name Ufindus at the top, a company I had been with for a couple of years that never brought me any business and that obviously BT have taken over. Of course with the cooling off period coinciding with Christmas by the time I realised what I'd done it was too late. I am tied into a 12 month contract at almost 50 quid a month. So far I have not had one piece of extra business and the only calls I have had that were identifiable through the 0845 number they set up were spam. Great. I am so angry with myself for falling for this despite my better judgement. An expensive lesson!

i agree with the last comment. customer street may have a bad reputation but you cant blame bt for that! i took out the package and it has brought me plenty of business. half the people that complain havent got a clue the package is meant to work or how you as a customer can amend it. the thing is, customers complain on here about how this hasnt worked or that hasnt worked but if you actually call there support number, they will help you fix any issues you may have. for 200-300 you get a site, a url, listings on 4 directories, 118500 services and brilliant rankings on the search engines and all you pay to maintain that is 40 per month (maybe more if you have more areas)

Sorry guys but for my business Customer Street have been the best. So much so that they now host 3 websites for me all of which appear on the first page of all major search engines when searched for with the appropriate keywords. The only time that my premium site slipped from No2 on google was when I messed up on the seo but one phone call to customer services and it was soon back at the top. EXCELLENT COMPANY.

We have been very heavily sold first a contract then a website to benefit from it somehow despite already having one. Results have been very poor. We feel cheated and regret our ever taking up their offer.

I was contacted by bt customer street regarding their protal services. I was informed that I would have exclusive access to hampshire, sussex and surrey. Not only was I mis-sold a product but the websites they provided where very poor . As a small business I paid for this service but recieved unprofessional advice and I have complained on many occasions and I have involved my solicitors and stopped all direct debits.

Please don't use this company.
