We purchased 2 sofas and a chair in September 2009, we was promised delivery on 1st week December. Goods didn't arrive, RF revised the date to the 12th December after several 'phone calls to them, then again to the 18th December. We finally got the goods on the 21st December.
After the delivery contractor had fixed the furniture feet, we discovered that the chair didn't 'sit'level on the floor. We contact RF same day and was told a techician would come to assess our problem. This took all of January with RF fobbing us off with excuses. after 3 cancelled appoinments the technician finally came in february and told us 'the chair frame was misaligned, probable due to damage in transit'. He then fitted a small plastic packing piece to the foot of the chair. We informed him that this was not a proper fix, but he advised us that was all he could do.
We contacted RF again, re our dissatisfaction only to be told that 'the furniture was to specification' and that as far as RF were concerned the matter was now closed.
We have addressed the problem with our credit card company for resolution. I would advise other potential RF customers to avoid this company as their customer services department is woefull. Due to the large amount of complaints RF receive, they have turned their responses into an art form.
