I to have had problems with mr stevens and pondcare last year i had a pond created by mr stevens and i can tell you it was a nightmare from start to finish i later discovered that the liner he installed was a 2nd hand one and not a new one which i had been charged for and eventually the pond started to leak in the end i got a company called tranquility in from york and they could not beleive the shoddy workmanship done by this company i tried to get compensation of mr stevens and suprise suprise he disappeared of the face of the earth do not touch this company please he just wants your money and thats it! what a nightmare use tranquility proper proffessionals wish i had done from the start !! live and learn i suppose!live and learn!

The work undertaken was undertaken for him by an individual contractor, which the writer clearly knows and not by the company Pondcare Uk ltd.
He has attempted to use this blag to blacken this compay's name.
There was an agreed price for initial work, and extra work was requested by the writer. When it came to payment, the writer paid only half of the initial agreed amount (so he could not even keep his word on this) and then refused to pay for any of the extra work.
He has claimed to have had to pay for some additional work, which you would expect to have been deducted from the bill, but to not even be prepared to consider this, he just refused to pay the balance due of £8,000.
You should consider whether the writer is a person who you would do business with, especially one who hides behind a sudonim and will not even give his name.

BEWARE AVOID AT ALL COSTS!Got mr stevens owner of pondcare out in july last year agreed price then he started a couple days after which i thought was a bit soon as he said he was snowed under? with work? anyway dropped machinery off for digging then he dissappeared for 3 weeks without a word!anyway we agreed a price for some extra turf which was delivered and left in the summer heat for a week still rolled up! when he did lay it was a disgrace the turf had died and he never rotavated it before putting it down it was uneven pieces of turf missing etc then a couple of weeks later my friend who works for a landscaper came round and couldnt beleive what he saw!i then had to pay him to put it right but my troubles didnt stop there! i started noticing every couple of days the pond was leaking when i rang mr stevens he ignored my calls and messages a couple of weeks passed and i had no choice to get another company out to repair the damage they said it was the worst workmanship they had ever seen in their life! and i had to pay them over a grand to put it right! this man should not be in business it was a nightmare from start to finish please dont go through what ive been through! BEWARE AT ALL COSTS!
