After a designer called and took £200 to design a kitchen that i had already designed, the delivery was a week late and i had stripped the old kitchen out so i had no kitchen for a whole week it finally arrived on the the 16th DEC 2010, i was a length of plinth and a 500mm door short
(they sent a 600mm door instead of a 500mm door so it just had to be changed over). It is now the 7th June 2011 and i am still no further forward. I must have made over 100 phone calls, when i do phone any of the three telephone numbers on their receipt i get through to the same woman who will not let me explain what i want but just switches me through to another line that just rings out. Any time that i have got to speak to someone they tell me that my parts will be delivered within the next two weeks and the driver will phone me the day before. I stay in argyle and the driver did phone on one occasion but we were in Glasgow and could not take delivery as we did not have the 600mm door to return to them. Four weeks ago in the beginning of may the driver did phone and turn up as arranged only to deliver a plinth of the wrong colour and a door of the wrong colour and style and now when i phone any of the phone numbers i get a recorded message saying this number is no longer in use. By luck (good or bad) i had another number still on my voice mail but hey when i phone that number a guy answers and just puts my through to another line that just rings out. If it were that easy i would just buy another door and plinth from B&Q but trust me i have been to B&Q, Focus, Homebase, Ikea, so far i cannot find a door of the same style but i am still looking.
Don't go near this company with a barge pole they stink to the high heavens.
P.S. any ideas where i might find a door i would be most grateful but i can't tell you the name of the style of door but it is walnut with two oblong panels running from top to bottom.

9 months on and:

Still got faulty parts and parts missing!
Still have a worktop sat in my garage waiting for collection and refund!

Definately do not go there!

If anyone wants to see them on mass I will happily go along there.

get lots of your freinds to book a 'designer' to visit them at home and then change mind once he arrives - small revenge but hey -

please, please do not use. Got kitchen Feb 2010 and fitted by their recommended fitters. Still have not rec'd all parts and kitchen has fallen apart - been trying to sort but staff lie are rude and very unhelpful. Have left messages for Lee Darby - no response. Ltr sent through consmer direct - no response. Waiting for trading standards to advise and heope to take to small claims court. Had fitter in who was shocked at shoddy work and said new kitchen would be easier to fit then repair!! The recommended fitters by simply kichens also caused water leak and botched up electrics and charged extra!! Please don't touch as most unhelpful staff ever come across!!

We are organising a campaign outside the showroom on Saturday anyone with an unresolved complaint can meet us outside the store at 10am, at least we can then prevent anymore unsuspecting people getting ripped off, this company is a sham, customer service is appalling and the staff are rude(once they have taken you money)

I don't know what the fuss is about this company. As per usual people only take time out to point out the negatives and moan which unfortunately is becoming the favourite hobby our nation, it seems.
I'm as guilty as the next man when it comes to not giving praise or thanks but when I stumbled accross this thread when trying to show a friend the company website, I felt I had to comment.
My kitchen was ordered and fitted earlier this year, by a fitter called Simon and his son whom were recommended to me by Kitchens4less.
The kitchen is excellent and the whole process from ordering to completion of fitting took less than 2 weeks.
My wife has had a smile on her face for the last 2 months which is the longest stint since we got married - if this isn't value, what is?????
If anyone wants to see pictures then send me a personal message and I will willingly forward them.

Funny That Jerry here's my story...........
Simply Kitchens, Kitchens Simply, Vance Miller call them whatever you like, all the same company!

Bought a kitchen from them for £1,600. What a disgrace. Almost all the 17 doors were faulty, Slide out larder unit has bits missing so won't work. Been told now that they don't actually have any doors that fit a 600 larder unit, and that I should cut it down to make it fit.

Finally got the slider for the Slide Out Larder, but hey, when you put it on it doesnt fit into a standard larder unit, luckily I am an engineer and can MAKE things work!!

Initially delivered on 26th March, stiil not been
n able to finish it. Only good one in Customer Service is Becky 3.

Sold me a length of work top too many £100, won't give me a refund. Had to buy alternative cupboards because I had kitchen fitters waiting to install, won't give me a refund!

Bits missing, bits faulty................
This list goes on.

Would just like to say I have just received, and had fitted, my kitchen from Simply Kitchens.

The experience has been great!

After shopping around and sitting through designers wafflery for hours I was able to find a good price for my kitchen.

I spoke to Moben (whose website shows ONLY good reviews) and Space Kitchens, and had designers round, both of which were at my house for over 4 hours and to be quite honest I was not impresssed with the prices I was given from either.

I was quoted £14,390 from Moben. when I said I could not afford such a high price the designer immediately dropped his quote to "an even ten grand".

WHY???

Just by saying no I got over £4000 dropped form my original quote!

The designer eventually dropped his price further upon a phone call with his manager in efforts to get me to sign the contract etc but I had said I would need time to think and compare prices whatever quote I was given.

At this point he turned a little bit rude as it seems it became apparent to him that I would not be an immediate sale.

I had a very similar experience with Space Kitchens who told me it was standard practice to spend 4 hours at a customer's house as they "want to give [us] the best service".

Fortunately, Simply Kitchens were able to give me the best service I had in a fraction of the time (just under an hour) and I was quoted £1800.

I was told I would be able to think about it if I wished and there was no pressure at all to buy which I was very pleased about and could very much appreciate considering my previous two experiences.

Needless to say I took the offer a few days later and I have been very well taken care of, as I was away for a while on business, and the delivery times were worked around me.

This company saved me something close to £10,000 and gave me top quality goods.

Consider this my reccomendation!
