Comments:

Harvey Norman in Campbelltown consist of a number of franchises under the one roof. You have flooring, furnishings, bathrooms, bedding, computers, whitegoods etc. They do not communicate with each other and are incapable of offering an overall sevice if you want to purchase items from different franchises.
I recently wanted to purchase a "Saratoga" 7 pice dining room suite, large entertainment unit, coffee table & buffet unit.
The pricing negotiated was OK, I had to pay for delivery also OK. What was NOT OK was that the table & chairs came as a kit and I ended up having to put it all together. Had I wanted to buy a kit I could have paid an awefull lot less and gone to Freedom or Ikea. They also refused to take all the rubbish with them. The sales dept did NOT make it clear that I would have to put it together nor did they advise that I was responsible to dispose of the packaging.
I also wanted a 42" LG television and Blu-Ray home theatre system. They couldn't or wouldn't communicate between franchises for a co-ordinated delivery so I took my business to Clive Peeters who delivered, installed and took the rubbish with them.
Am in my late 50's with plenty of disposable income and need to spend many more $'s upgrading the house. Harvey Norman whilst convenient will not see a single cent as the customer service leaves an awefull lot to be desired.
