I bought a forever diamond ring from H.Samuel about two years ago for £1,500 and the diamond fall out. I went to the store and I told them what happened. They then took the ring and send it to the manufacturer who told them to tell me that the reason for the diamond falling out is because of wear and tear. I told H.Samuel to put it in black and white what the manufacturer told them to tell me so that I can give it to my lawyer. H.Samule then send the ring to their head office and after six weeks they told me to pick the ring and the letter up. In the letter they said, "examination of the ring shows signs of customer accidental damage. An external force has been applied, pushing the diamond up and out of the setting. One claw tip has been pushed upwards too when the stone came out."
Now someone would have to have applied a lot of force to bend one of the four claws of the ring and how could have a pregnant woman applied such force? She only had the ring for 18 months and she was pregnant all this time except for two months so she was limited to what she can do.
H.Samuel also said in the letter, "we advise a repair at a reduced price as a gesture of goodwill to the customer." The reduced price is £179.63 What a joke.
I advise anyone who has to work for two months just to buy a forever diamond ring not to buy is from H.Samuel because their rings or diamonds are not forever.
H.Samuel, H.Samuel Ltd., Signet Group Plc. or Signet Trading Ltd. are all the same company.
