I am at the point now asking people whether friends, family, business partners of ebay sellers specifically NOT to send any goods via this consistently unreliable company particularly when choosing YODEL as the courier.
If you are awaiting delivery, be assured that while you are losing money taking time from work or even wasting an entire day waiting in when you have appointments or private business to attend to, your parcel will rarely arrive at the contracted time..even if the tracking number says it has been 'loaded onto the van' for delivery.
Age old worn excuses will follow from YODEL when the parcels fail to arrive...the favourite usually being the old chestnuts from driver problems & vehicle breakdowns....but pick your own, because they appear to!
But who cares because a contract is a contract.
Tonight, Yodel blamed Parcel2go...but that is not MY problem.
From my viewpoint, today really is the final straw.
I have had it with both of them
I have received deliveries smashed beyond repair when sent via YODEL, if they are delivered at all and a really, really third rate abysmal customer service.
They promise next day delivery but when they fail to collect they tell you that all you can do is re-book another collection. They promise a reliable service and fail to deliver. When it works it's OK but too often they fail and their customer service process is hopeless. If you need a reliable service avoid this company if at all possible.
Whatever you do, avoid using this company. They are fine when things go well, but absolutely atrocious when things go wrong. They do not care if something has gone wrong - they promise to phone you back and don't, they do not respond to most of your emails, they do not take you seriously, if you ask to have your claim escalated to management, this does not happen and they are very cavalier if you are lucky enough for someone to phone you back!
We have been battling for over 8 weeks with the company after they lost my daughter's huge suitcase of treasured possessions. They have ignored us, not responded to emails, had different people responding to us on their 'Chat' system, one actually leaving us mid conversation, because her shift had finished and another taking over asking for all the details again. Their customer service is the worst I have encountered in all my life and I am 55! They have now had over 60 emails, numerous 'Chats' with different operatives and all we have been offered in compensation is £30.00, with no refund for disastrous service, the time we have spent contacting them or being kept on hold, the cost of the suitcase, etc. Nothing works with them.
I'm VERY surprised that so many people have had bad experiences with parcel2go!
I've been using them for a couple of months and cannot fault them whatsoever. I always choose to send with 'DHL' and the courier turns up at the same time every time. In fact I could set my watch by him. I get up to date details every step of the way from Karen Black, and have 100% confidence in them. I've had no bad feedback from any of my customers with regards to delivery of their purchases.
Though I would advise that you give 'Hermes' a miss. They are the cheapest for a reason.....I decided to give them a try once. They collected my parcel on the day stated ok, but they brought it back 2 days later. The reason being, that I hadnt 'printed' the delivery invoice off. Though it 'recommends' on the site that you do, they didnt make it clear that it was compulsory. I think they could be losing a lot of trade if there are a lot of people who dont have a printer. I do, but had lost the lead at the time.
The driver didnt seem to have much idea of what to do without 'said delivery note', but to be fair to him, he said he'd only been working for them for a month.
I have heard nothing from Hermes regarding a refund, and to be honest, really cant be bothered with the hassle of chasing it up. I will just put it down to experience, and advise everyone to avoid them.
But I dont blame their poor performance on parcel2go.
I have an ongoing dispute with this very very Poor company. My advice to anyone wanting to send anything anywhere in the world. Use ANOTHER company PLEASE!!! They are the worst company ever in this sector. I don't even want to go down the rocky road I have with this company. How they are still trading beggars belief to be honest! Trust me on this one!!!
