These idiots make Arthur daily look like an angel. Bought a car in February this year. Agreed with the salesman that various issues would be addressed including giving the car a full MOT. Went to collect it a week later only to find that some of the jobs hadn't been done. There was chewing gum stuffed in the ashtray and furthermore, no 12 month test. What was meant to be a straight forward pick up and sign some papers ended up as a 5 hr ordeal waiting for an MOT and valet with my 9 month old boy starving and upset. Finally got the car and headed home. 1 mile down the road and thick black smoke spewed out of the exhaust and I broke down. Don't forget, this thing had just been given an MOT. Hartwell kept the car for 8 weeks while sorting the problem and I was given a trade in (fit for auction) to run about in. When I got my car back, the problem Re-accrued within one day. Finally enough was enough. I told them to take it back and get me something I could use. They found me a cheaper car and charged me to pay off my finance. The car they found me was in better nick although also had problems. I took it to my local dealer rather than them idiots only to find hartwell hadn't swapped my warranty onto the second car like promised. 9 months after my first encounter and various calls to trading standards and I've managed to sort it. Stay clear.
