Comments:

My web site was purchased 2010 from webworksinternet based in Darlington. I had initially planned on just trying this company out but found the website did not generate any real interest for my business and was quite expensive in retrospect compared to other web designers and host providers. Despite telling the company twice over the phone that i did not want to renew the website they went ahead and charged my credit card (which they had on file) for another years usage of a web site i did not want. Having contacted my credit card company I am now endeavouring to get my money back from this company. I appear to be not the only one who has had bad dealings with this company based on other reviews i have read on the internet. My advice would be to give this company a miss.

First I should point out that this business was previously Webworks Internet Ltd and then changed to Webworks Internet (UK) Ltd.

This experience is very much what others have had with this company. I had nothing but trouble with this company from the start. They advertise a custom design and build for your website, but actually just recycle designs used before, without consideration to the product they are trying to represent.
They have pushy sales people who call you and virtually bully you into additional add-ons which frankly make no difference to the success of your website.

After 1 year I decided not to renew, however they took £450 for renewal of the website without my permission, claiming that I had to reply to a letter I never received in order to cancel.
Be warned - this company will use your card without your permission if you give it to them!!

I'm now in the process of transferring my website, however they want to charge £149 just to change the ips Tag which can be done via Nominet for £11!!!

When you call them, they leave you on hold all the time clocking up revenue on their premium rate line. They do not answer emails or letters.
When I started publicising this, they threatened to sue me and sent a lawyers letter. This will not deter me!
They claim to have 15,000 clients and are influential in the market place ... Ask yourslef how many websites there are just in the UK and see what a minute fraction, if at all true, this really is. It is misleading marketing.

Poor customer service, poor product, exhorbitant prices -You should avoid this company at all costs.

Check out this site bview .. it gives you a true picture of this company
