Wyvern Media is not a Graphic Design Studio at all.
Wyvern Media, and THEY state, are an independent group of local and national newspapers.
It is not just the sales persons that employ these unlawful sales tactics as many businesses have been targeted by company directors, of Wyvern Media, who use the same unlawful sales tactics in order to generate sales and profit to go into their own pockets.
The directors use these tactics out of greed and greed alone. The sales persons use these tactics in order to provide them with a basic income.
Most sales people I have spoken with from this group have said they are encouraged to use these tactics, but never put anything in writing that they can't back up. So, basically lie through the skin of your teeth on the phone, but NEVER put it in writing!
The quality of the newspapers is awful, and the design of advertisements is no better. I've seen 'white space' in some of these newspapers, where advertisements were supposed to go but didn't get entered properly, which is a design issue.
I feel for the poor sales staff, who are employed to sell for this group, but as there are not many others employers around at the moment, these people have a choice;
Stay with the company using 'rogue' sales tactics in order to provide a, very, basic income or;
Leave and have to claim some sort of benefits that as well as being degrading is generally not enough to cover many household bills.
Wyvern Media is a Graphic Design Studio that handles the production of various publications throughout the UK. The design studio has no control over any individual publications and firmly condones any misleading sales tactics.
It is unfair to discredit a dedicated and talented design team that quite frankly work miracles to create pixel perfect adverts from the most unrealistic briefs!

Actual quote from disgruntled client who would not understand that C-0% M-100% Y-100% K-0% is as Red as Red can be on Newspaper!
It is unfortunate that some clients feel they have been let down and I implore you to take action against the correct individuals.
As for disgruntled sales personnel, the Design Team feel for your plight and campaign for more equality and fair treatment of sales staff.
However telesales is telesales as everyone knows if you don't reach your target you are out. This unfortunately leads to questionable tactics and unemployed people who where not that good at their job.
We all hate sales people from Sky TV to Encyclopaedias (except when they get us a good deal!) but do not tar us all with the same brush!

I can confirm Wyvern Media, Media Today, JPC, JGPC are all owned by the same man. They are all fronts! When one of the comapy names gets a bad name for itself the adverising salesmen can change from one name to the other. I suggest you search for JPC on here! Also check individual titles especially the Lincolnshire Telegraph on Facebook, on this website and others for more information

Worked here before - only for 3 hours mind you! 3 hours was more than enough time to work out what they were all about tho. Ive worked in many sales offices but this is not a sales office its a dumping ground/con artist meeting ground.
They offered me a 2 day trial (unpaid) I attended the first day and the bins were over flowing, flies all over the place, bin bags piling up the wall and the guy who calls himself a boss tried to train me in "sellin" advertising. Basically you lie to people to get money from them and then he passes their details to another person who he rang 4 times whilst I was there.
Wyvern media is indeed connected with jpc/journal publishing company.
This is among the worst nationwide companies ever invented.
There are so many titles - it's hard to keep up.
Lincolnshire Telegraph are one thats come up recently, London and Home Counties Today, Wiltshire Guardian, Southern Times, West Midlands News, Eastern Counties Echo, Midlands Today, Midlands Review, Surrey & Hampshire Express, Lincolnshire & South Yorkshire Telegraph, Lincs Telegraph.
I think JPC is connected to Wyvern Media and Media Today Online. It’s hard to nail them down – Wyvern Media gives no address (big clue for the type of business it is!) but once one of them gets contact with you a barrage of "salesmen" from all these interconnected “newspapers” and “websites” bombard you with hard-sell phone calls. Watch out. As far as I can find out so far, the service they offer is nominal and not much more than a cover – they run off a small number of copies of each newspaper at irregular intervals (the copies are undated – another big clue). They also use try to confuse the small business they target by deliberately creating confusion about which advert in which “newspaper” they are referring to, both in emails and on the phone. The most serious allegation I have about them is that having obtained the business’s credit card details they then treat themselves to unauthorised payments. I am currently pursuing this as best I can through the OFT, the Visa fraud service and other similar people – if any of you have anything more to offer you’d be welcome to leave me a message.
