I rented a van from this company for a day. As with a hire company they did a pre rental inspection. I pointed out some problems, which was marked, the person doing the inspection did a half harted inspection and only noted the things I mentioned. The back door of the van was not opened during inspection, I am not an experienced hirer, its the first time I hired a van. The first time I opened the back door I noticed the wiper on the back window was loose, I did not think too much of it at the time. when I returned the car the post inspection was done with a lot more effort and care, the loose wiper was noticed, and I was told that I have to pay for the repairs, that they will not give my deposit back untill repair work has been done and deducted. I am upset about this because I feel they did not a thorough inspection before and if they did the wiper would have been noticed... I stand to loose money because of this. I feel this is a policy of theirs to not do a proper inspection before and then let the customer pay for whatever they find fault afterwards by doing a much more thorough inspection. It was on my side a mistake to not do a more thorough check, a lesson I am learning, I just feel I want to let this be noticed as a lesson for any other people that want to hire from them and probably from any other cheap car hire company - you might pay less but they somehow seem to get more out of you anyway... they did not even give me any credit for the extra fuel I put into the vehicle...
