Yep, Indesit is a rubbish company. I've got extended warrenty on my washing machine through Domestic and General, and they aren't too great either. I've been waiting on my machine being repaired since 27/4/12. I got a phone call the day before it was supposed to be repaired telling me the part I required was out of stock and that they were waiting on it coming in.....I'm still waiting!!! 2 weeks with no machine is no joke. Wont be buying indesit again and will be canceling my warrenty. What a bunch of muppets!!
I have always bought Hotpoint for 35 years plus indeed I never bother looking at other makes. However after my recent experience never again. Hotpoint no longer exist it is now Indesit and the customer service is dire.
My new fridge freezer doors only open 90 degrees so it is a struggle to pull the drawers out.
After 4 weeks the top drawer fell out when I was struggling to pull it out and broke. Hotpoint were totally disinterested. A few weeks later the second drawer fell out this time injuring my leg again Hotpoint not interested. They told me to be more careful !!!
I now have two drawers taped together with 2" wide sticky tape what a mess it looks. Hotpoint told me they would look into my letter when they next reveiwed my model of appliance. I asked them to do this sooner rather than later and to send me a copy of the review report which they refused to do. Surely they could send an engineer to ease the doors so they open fully and supply me with 2 new plastic drawers? apparantly not
Well they have lost a long standing customer not that they care from the tone of the two letters which they sent to me.
Be warned buy a hotpoint (Indesit ) and expect no help what so ever if it goes wrong.
