watch out for this one*pewterspear roofing* also known as Giles! A heavy set chap!I have lived in the warrington area for 60 years and can honestly say i have never been let down by any local company (tradesmen) like this one. it started off with making a phone call to *pewterspear roofing* around 12 months ago,i had seen the works van driving around the warrington area so i made note of the phone number on the side of the van and gave them a call to see if they could come round and survey my roof,when they came round to inspect it they told me that i needed my hip tiles needed pointing. I agreed for the work to be carried out and the following day the work was underway, during the course of the day i noticed there was rain clouds aprouching over head, i made a comment to the workmen regarding the change in weather and they replied it would be fine to carry on with the work.Around 2pm the work was complete, i paid them cash and then they left. at 3pm it started to rain washing all the cement work onto my roof and into the gutters and downspouts causing them to block, i made several phone calls to get them back but got nowhere, i was fobbed off everytime.i then had to get another roofing contractor in to unblock the gutters and downspouts costing me a further £150.00. thanks to this website i can now let people know what they are really like. rumour has it that the owner use to be a butcher, he's certainly made a pigs ear of my roof.
