We took out travel insurance with this company which included medical expenses. The limit for dental work was £200. Unfortunately my elderly husband tripped over a kerb edge in Dijon and had to be taken to hospital. He had smashed his two front teeth and had other abrasions to his face. He was advised to see his dentist when he got home to sort out his teeth. This has been done and my husband now has a plate with the missing teeth attached. Columbus Direct will not pay out because the work was not done in Dijon. The accident happened abroad but that does not seem to matter. Be aware fellow travellers abroad that if you have an accident and have to have treatment in the UK you may not be covered. I would certainly avoid Columbus Direct.
