We are 9 and a half years in with a complaint with NHBC and they do NOT want to know. We have cracks appearing all the time. We have heard every excuse from "weak moter", "hot sunlight", "natural settlement 9 years on" etc, dispite us having our own specialists saying that there is a major problem NHBC have just stalled us all along. They must be the only insurance company where you do not choose to take their cover (it is built into the cost of your house when you buy it). I am sure that if they had to survive on reputation alone they would have been bankrupt by now !! They are the BIGGEST waste of time and con merchants I know. Good luck with anyone who has the misfortune to have to deal with them. They have NO regard for peoples lives. Ours has been ruined by them and it still continues.
