Computer finally arrived, but will not start because of overheating of the processor. It switches off after maximum 20-30 seconds.
Thgis is after burn-in testing was alledgedly done over the weekend .....
In other words, it's dead on arrival. Reported to Mesh Technical but no response.

Wish I had done some more research on Mesh rather than specifying the product I needed. The moment I placed the order Mesh charged my credit card (well in excess of £ 1000) and promised a confirmation my return e-mail. This, of course, didn't materialise but after some urging it did. They promised a 10-14 WORKING days delivery. No further e-mail regarding a delivery date. I called to enquire and was told that they were waiting for a part and had no idea how long it would take. 1 week? Dunno. 3 weeks? Dunno. 3 months? Noooo not 3 months. Then how long? Dunno. I decided to cancel and get a refund. They appear to be able to take your money within 5 seconds, but a refund can take up to 4 weeks.
They faithfully promised to get back today with a date and also promised the machine would be delivered by latest Friday next week (a further 7 working days). I wonder if I should hold my breath ....? Beginning to look like a real case of Caveat Emptor.

Mesh is a very poor company company.

Computer delivered with e faulty motherboard.
Mesh claimed to have replaced the computer only to return the same unit
Returned the computer 3 times for fixes only for the computer to be returned faulty.

I am still waiting for a refund 4 weeks and counting.

Waiting on the helpline on average is 30mins

Only ever buy from Mesh using a credit card, that way atleast your insured. Otherwise save your time and money and avoid them.

I wish I had done 4 months ago.

I bought a computer from them in 2005, pretty good machine, has lasted all up until last week (2010)

Never had any problems with them and have also purchased 2 more for a friend and family member.

We bought a computer for our son from Mesh in Sept '08. First of all, it took 6 weeks to receive it (one week late). The internet did not work with the provided bluetooth device. The computer broke down in late Dec '08 (three months later!). We finally got it off to being fixed in Jan '09 and it took a month to get it back, still broken!! Sent it back again and it took 3 months to get it back. Still problems with the internet. Also, we had to pay the transport costs to Mesh although Consumer Direct said Mesh should pay for them. We are now pursuing refund via our bank (attention: always pay with VISA then the bank is joitly liable with the seller!!) and try to return the equipment as it is not fit for purpose.
If you want to have a stress free computer purchase, I advise you not to turn to these 'fringe' companies like Mesh. It seems that you have no comeback and the service is bismal. Avoid!!!
