if you try on any items in store and they are faulty you will get the blame and be bullied into paying, the staff are rude so are customer services, this must be the place to get a job if you have a bad attitude and no customer service skills
Went into local jjb store in walsall to buy my 5year old daughter a pair of adidas jog pants when i tryed them on her the waistband came away it was quite clearly a fault or already done told the store assistant they were faulty and all the staff seemed to be looking at me saying i had to buy them as i must have done the damage,I am a young pregnant mother of two and just wanted to leave the store so payed under protest thinking customer services would sort this problem out? What a fool i have been they were as rude as the store staff,The policy must be THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS WRONG!!!!!!Be warned pay a little extra you ll get a better service in stores like JD.
Today at the Glasgow Great Western retail park branch we were refused a refund for Nike 'stinky cat pee' football boots for the second time!
This link gives the situation about a batch of defective Nike footwear.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/watchdog/2008/11/stinky_trainers_update.html
Nike stated that "The boots we have seen with this problem seem to be from our 'Total 90' or 'Mercurial' ranges, dating from pairs on-sale since June 2007. We encourage consumers with boots that have the distinctive bitter, ammonia-like smell, that match these models and dates, to return them to the retailer where they were purchased, where they should be replaced or refunded, even without a receipt."
We didnt have a receipt but JJB did replace them with an identical pair about 6 weeks ago but on issue of this first replacement our receipt was given as half the price, £17.00.
But the same 'cat pee stink' problem happened with the second pair and JJB were only prepared to offer us their mark down refund not the full refund as originally paid. We didnt want to accept this.
This time around the assistant manager argued the toss in the most belligerent manner. Making the usual appeal to 'I can't overide company policy', 'I didnt make the rules' Worse than that continually cutting in and talking over my wife and I, then claiming that she would walk away if we kept shouting at her- well we had to raise our voice over hers!
Granted this isnt JJB's fault but as Nike have publically claimed liability all the more reason to be fair and reasonable about it, keep customer goodwill and refund them!!
A bad company and poorly trained staff with no customer care skills!
(We now have a third pair of the same shoes and will relish the chance for another return if the stink problem comes back!)
