In my quest to defend National Homebuyers I have come accross a website with some very usefull information about this company,(http://www.nationalhomebuyers.uk.com)now i know it is written by them (i think?) but at least it gives them a chance to explain some things, as i said in my previuos post National Homebuyers were very helpfull in my case and exceeded my expectations, People who think quick sale companys are going to give them full market value shouldnt own a house and thats all the complaints are about.

I feel I have to defend National Homebuyers here a little, I have just sold my property to these guys and i must say they were fantastic from start to finish. I tried using other fast house sale companies in the past but was just dissappointed every time and the sale did not complete because there investor dropped out! National Homebuyers do not use investors instead they purchase as a company so already i was feeling at ease knowing that no more drop outs.

Reading the prevous post about the external survey I had the same thought ( no one has come to survey my property ) until I questioned it that was, (how stupid did i feel) an external survey is exactly that it done externally and the surveyor does not need to contact the owner of the property, they take photos and write a report about the structure, area etc and pass that back to the National Homebuyers valuation team (they were very understanding and explained all this to me) this is why they have to charge a fee, fast house sale companys that do it for free dont really do any research into the property they just take your market value and knock a percentage off! National Homebuyers actually put a lot of research into each property and give an individual price based on the actual property. I must say that I was extreamly happy with the price we agreed on and to be honest even though it was below market value it wasnt that far off at all espcially when you consider the leagal fees, estate agent fees etc etc i would of had to pay if National homebuyers hadent covered for me its proberbly about the same, in my experience estate agents say they will get a big sum for your property just to get you in and then make you drop the price month after month!

Anyway Thanks National Homebuyers you did me a service to be proud of! Cheers Buddy!

I guess the National Home Buyers have not read the original comment here but decided to respond anyway.

"All valuations carried out by NHB contain at least one external survey by an independent RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) qualified surveyor... if the vendor feels that this survey has been done incorrectly, then they should contact NHB immediately so they can organise further surveys."

From my understanding no survey was carried out and that was the whole point, what are the fees was the question? My view is use http://www.swiftcapital.co.uk instead they have a much better service and will be up front with you.
