My friend and I went to Studio 120 on Friday of last week and I really enjoyed the experience. My friend had won a competition so it didn't cost anything to go. When we arrived we were greeted and then quickly had our mini-facial (moisturiser and a hot towel) and then make-up done. My make-up girl was lovely and she listened to what I wanted. We then had our hairdone and yet agin loved it and the guy doing it was very friendly. We then had the photos done which was fun and then took a break for lunch. When we returned we had to wait for 10 mins or so (they showed us a comedy video to keep us entertained). When they showed us the photos they just asked us to pick the ones we liked so we went through them once and I had 16 and my friend had 13. She then proceeded to work out how much that would be, finance etc. At that point I slowed her down and said I wanted to edit them at least twice more to decide which ones I really wanted. (I have done this before at Venture and The portrait company so am by now very expereinced at deciding what I don't want). I ended up with 2 and my friend with 3. We were then offered a choice of pictures or them on disc at £70 a picture (this may seem high but it is actually standard price for this kind of photography) or the same price for a disc copy. I was really impressed with that as it meant I had the copywrite and could use the picture for multiple things. Overall I had a fun day, lovely pictures and a disc that I felt was a fair price. My only critism would be that she tried to sell us on the photos too quickly but she wasn't rude when I said no, in fact she was quite good as I actually laughed at some of the stuff she was offering and she wasn't offended. I would say go, have a nice day, pick one photo you will treasure and don't get involved in finance.
