On Sunday 21st August 2011, I raised two orders on the parcel2go website. The first was with City Link and this was for delivery to Bolton.
The second was with Yodel with delivery to Oban, Scotland.
Once I booked the first collection, I had second thoughts as to the amount of compensation allowed on my order as the goods come to the value of £1600.00, so I decided to contact live support and request my City Link collection be cancelled. I was told that this was not a problem and the cancellation would be immediate with a refund being given.
I left the Yodal parcel for the courier, which was due to be collected Monday 22nd August 2011. The package was about 50cm x 50cm x 30cm. I very clearly marked the delivery address. Printed on a full A4 sized label. I put this on the top and side of the box. I received a phone call at about 13:00hrs from my office to advise that Yodel was on site to collect my parcel but it had already been collected by City Link prior. I immediately called Parcel2Go via live help as I could not find a contact number to advise and stop my parcel going out of the area. I was told that this would be done. If the courier has read the address label there would not have been a problem but due to legligence he didnt.
On Tuesday I contacted Parcel2Go again via live help to ask for a progress as I had not heard anything. I was told that they would need to E Mail the courier and they would get back to my by the end of Tuesday. I heard nothing so contacted Parcel2Go on Wednesday. Again I got the same answer. On Thursday I called and was told that the courier felt the parcel to be lost and I was advised to raise a claim online. As I did not have a valid order via City Link I cannot understand how I can raise a case due to the fact that I had not paid for the order and as such had not paid for any compensation.
Friday I spent much of the day chasing up Parcel2Go and not being given any good positive updates. Calling City Link and being in a call queue for 20-30 minutes each time I call. I have tried to call local depots with no success.
Saturday I tried again with no success. I also asked for my prepay balance to be credited to my credit account, was told it would cost me £5 for the privalege. Still waiting for it to be done. I asked for Chat logs to be E Mailed to me. Still waiting for it to be done.
I cannot express how bad this company is. No customer service at all. Automated responses every time. A company who has no time for its customers unless they are taking your money. Would I use the company again. 100% no. I will pursue the matter even if I need to take legal action as these companies just cannot get away with treating people this way. I also will be contacting as many message boards as possible from now until my case is resolved. I would urge each and everyone else to do the same.
Really bad company with really bad customer service - stay clear!!!
On the whole not a good experiance. I am sending about 10 parcels a month. The pickup success rate is about 50%. Its seems worse with their cheap services. I think they go over their capacity limit and pickups go on the back burner. Now looking for other carriers to use. Worst was order 27 July received around Aug 15 after about 8 failures and 3 change of carriers. Another package had 4 failures they changed carriers to TNT without telling me , sent a label to my suppliers which ended up in their spam. SO bear all this in mine if you use them. Sent in a complaint, P2G customer services promised to et back to me. Did they ? you can guess ...
This business is a joke. Oh you might save yourself a couple of quid on Royal Mail, but you have to wait in ALL DAY for them to pick up, and they don't guarantee that they will pick up at all! I waited in all day, and they didnt show. The only remedy they offered is to re book for the following day. They had no idea why the driver didnt show, or even if he showed or not. I re booked, apologised to my ebay customers, and waited all the next day too. And the next. On the fourth day they reluctantly agreed to pick up from my back door (they wouldn't guarantee that the driver would pick up there!), and they picked up 3 of the 5 parcels I had. In the end I had to pick up the phone myself, phone the courier myself and I resolved the problem. I will never use this company again, and can you believe it, after wasting 5 days of my time, they want to make a £5.00 charge to refund me the balance of my account! They must have that hidden in their small print somewhere, and that is the sort of company they are.
Oh and by the way, when they give you a quick quote for muli parcel delivery....that assumes that they are all going to ONE address! So i under priced my ebay postage costs and lost out there too.
This company is an utter disgrace, and I want my cahnge back PARCELS2GO!
My item was 'damaged' by DHL. I tried to get a claims form via P2G web-chat line. People said, 'Yes, yes...' and nothing happened. They even said that the item was 'Not damaged' yet DHL tracking stated it was, twice! The two week claims limit came and went and still no claims form (I also paid for additional insurance). In the end they stopped 'web chatting' with me. I'm now corresponding via e-mail and getting even more frustrated. They simply won't give a straight answer. So I am going to UK trading standards and european cross-border trading. Shockingly bad customer service!!
and the reason the phone number is not so readily available is cos they are online company live is good but your only real hopes on live help are katherine black, brian, and alexandra. think these guys shoul show the others a thing or 2
i would never use this company again sent a camera to friends in greece when the parcel arrived it had been cut open and camera taken out (pinched) sealed up again and sent on. then the fun really starts with trying to deal with this lot, don't answer calls or emails, or say they will get someone to contact you, but they never do. after weeks of fighting them got about a third back still left us about £200 out of pocket. also asked for reports made into thefts still waiting for them (won't hold my breath though). take my advice and don't use them
I have used parcels2go once and will never again!! I sent 3 parcels using parcels2go and only 2 arrived. It was very hard to get an answer from this company and when i did the response was far from satisfactory! I have since started using a company calle Interparcel and since using this company have had 100% success rate and satisfaction. Do yourself a favour and avoid parcels2go at all costs! They are more than happy to take your money but when things go wrong they dont want to know!
Found this company good until i needed to deal with them with regard to a claim. Very hard to get a reply to any email once parcel reported missing. Company got very when I informed them I had contacted watchdog and then refused to deal with me. I am interested in filing a class action claim as there seems to be so many people reporting the same. So if you are having problems that parcels2go are not dealing with properly please do a search for class action parcels2go and you will find us and we can then see if we have the numbers to file this case. I am still awaiting information on my claim so we do have first hand knowledge of how they operate.
