I've used D&A for a number of years and have always received good service from the opticians. However the sales team are very pushy and their glasses are very overpriced. If you need new glasses they strong-arm you into buying without giving you time to think. My last pair of glasses cost nearly £300 after the price of the lenses was added, much more than I could afford, but the assistant ignored my concerns and told me that that was just how much these things cost. Naively I went ahead, and now 2 years later I've been told that is will cost me £200 to reglaze the same frames to my new prescription. Fortunately this time I shopped around- specsavers charges £99 for exactly the same lenses, and I finally got a better (thinner) lens at the bargain price of £50 from specs-by-post. :)
