Disgusting customer service involving head office telling me to go to the store to resolve dispute, to the store then stating only head office can resolve this complaint and round the roundabout I went again and again.
The store then tells you they are in the business of selling phones, contact customer services for advice, to be told later they have no knowledge of your dispute and pay up.
I had a well running contract with 02 and have to say was impressed with their service and felt comfortable with their store staff. I had a panic attack in the city centre and their store was nearest and quiet with chairs, as I felt safe there I sat down. I apologised to the staff for popping in that way and that I would go when I gathered my breath. They were nice and said they understood and sat with me to check I was alright. One of the salesman was playing with an iphone and gave it to me to have a look at and I said I was impressed and played with it. I have already said the store was unusually quiet for such a day.
The man then proceded to do a sales pitch and I said no, I would go soon and he would not let go. I have mental health problems hence the panic attack and felt no was not getting through. If you have been like me depressed and ill they you'll relate to the pressure I felt, that maybe average person could deal with.
I ended up leaving the store recovered but with a very expensive phone that as soon as I got home I panicked at what I had done. I contacted the store and said I needed to bring it back and head office who each kept refering me to the other and saying now you are outside the 14 days, totally dismissing my attempts to give it back in time. The store said to use it and if I couldnt manage it to bring it back in a few days, they said I had to give it a chance before cancelling.
Up to date: I am now being passed to a debt agency after stopping payments due the a debt collector telling me they would stop the service on the other phone as well for me arguing over the contract of the iphone. I stopped the payments as I could see no point and decided to fight back.
Now they have a debt agency regulary sending threatening letters on an account in dispute prior to them passing it on, which I thought was illegal, who harass and threaten court. I keep telling them it was in dispute and 02 should deal with me to be told 02 are not interested and I have to pay up.
They have also passed each account iphone and other account which was fine prior to this to different agencies, who will not relate one to the other and therefore on the first account just say, you stopped payments. They will not recodnise they told me the service was to be suspended and they were still taking the money, so I panicked and stopped dd. They also now deny threatening this action.
To finish off. I dont deny signing for the contracts. In the first all was fine till they threatened me. In the second all they had to do was honor the 14 day cancellation period. They dont care how embaressing it was for me to turn up in busy store with boxed up phone to be ridiculed that why was I at their store in the first place.
I do wish the panic attacks would subside, but hey thats me, I am mentally ill, but feel this company did not play fair with me and took advantage of a customer who made it clear they were only sitting down for air. I didnt go in for another phone I didnt need, but all could have been solved had they honored their promise.
BEWARE as they said, they are in the business of selling phones, not dealing with queries and returns on accounts. Odd customer service.
