I have tried them all and actually think Vodafone is probably the "best" of the bunch, seems to me diffcult to please all millions of customers but for me Vodafone have been prompt to sort out any issues with my contract!!
Absolute sham of a company!
Started when I moved to an area where their coverage is very poor (this is their words). I called to cancel my contract to be told that I would have to pay an early cancellation fee of £500. Why would I pay for a service they cannot provide? They then said that they cover 97% of the country. What good is it to me when I am part of the unlucky 3%!!! They then said to me that they have studied my usage and I have been texting and calling so my phone is working. Not from home I haven't!! I have to wait until I am at work to make all my phone calls and I can only text from work too. All this was a year ago.
I started emailing them 3 weeks ago because I just couldn't take anymore of not being to use my phone at home. I thought, to hell with it, I'll cancel and pay the early cancellation fee.
They say it takes them 5 working days to reply to an email. 8 days later I still hadn't had a reply and chased it up. I got a reply a few days later with no apologies whatsoever for the delay. I then tried to file a complaint for this and asked for a manager to reply to me. Once again the reply just said "I understand you want to cancel, let me help you". No acknowledgment of my complaint. I then got my husband to call them. Obviously he got to speak to another of their useless monkeys (as opposed to organ grinders), who told us all we had to do to cancel was send an email (by this point we had had enough of trying to file a complaint with no reaction, so we gave up-we just wanted out). I sent an email and they told me I have to call the call centre!! Which I did this morning, only to be told I need to send a letter! No way I said, and after spitting my dummy out, they let me cancel over the phone (had to pat £65 but it's got to be worth it to get out of having to deal with such imcompetent people). And all the way, noone asked me why I wanted to cancel. No feedback, no offers to get me to stay, nothing. They obviously don't give a **** about their customers.
