See my positive post re specsavers where I compare how treat by boots, as in optician hurt me during the test and boots were seemingly more interested in flogging designer frames and optional photographs to people who obviously were not interested as in just wanted plain nhs glasses as cheap as possible.
I only went to boots for the eye test as specsavers was too busy.
I am an anxious person so it did not help boots optician telling me I was to relax when she had just hurt me with the test frames way too too tight as they were faulty and kept falling off to one side. I ended up apologising for saying it hurt and have to jsut hope this did not affect the prescription.
Also they had no facility on a weekend to price specialist lenses as in high prescription outside normal lenses, i suspect and told me would cost me more despite two nhs voucher d's being given.
Went to specsavers once had prescription who within minutes had sorted me two frames and told me previously they dont over charge on the more expensive lenses and have set price for them which they can source when you are in no matter wether weekend or not. You see with boots they expected me to re visit the store again later in the week which was impracticle. So if you have eye disease like I do dont book a weekend appt with them or you are wasting your time.
I am refered to the hospital who will no doubt check the prescription for me and if it is incorect I will take boots to task over this, heres hoping all will be fine.
