I cannot believe a company can be allowed to operate like this. I have had dealings going back to 1993 with firstly property connections the DGA and now waterglen. No maintenance has taken place except a little tar on a flat roof since then and with countrywide the agents one would think something would get done but whenever we ring now the person dealing with our flat has moved to a different office or off on maternity or just left the company.I am in the processs of buying the freehold well i just had a surveyor in which is really the start lots of money of course now have a bill for maintenance work of 25k do i continue with the freehold or pay for the works anyone got suggestions?help m

I also have been fighting my corner with Countrywide Property/Pier Management about the dual payment of my 2007/2008 insurance on our London property. It is also in our lease to have the outside of the property repainted/repairedwhich was due to be done in 2007. There are six flats involved in two buildings. I have been in correspondence with the various companies since then to get this done. Firstly with DGA then with Countrywide when they took over. Here we are in 2010 and the work has still not started. The monies from the 6 flats concerned is all in, which they have been sitting on since last summer. I have found it impossible to speak to or get any response from the MD of Countrywide and no telephone number appears to be available for Waterglen, the landlords. Has anyone else had this problem?

In 2004 I wrote a report in this forum complaining of the activities of Waterglen or David Glass Associates (DGA) and their solictors Brethertons.

Shortly afterwards I won a case against Waterglen representing a group of leaseholders at a Lease valuation Tribunal.

I recently had a letter from a related company Pier Management demanding money for subletting a flat I own which it claimed falsely was a violation of the lease. Their letter illegally contained the crown insignia and I will be reporting this matter to the police and taking out a case against Pier Management in the small claims court for these illegal 'debt' colelction practices.

I thank all those who have contacted me regarding Waterglen. There have been numerous findings against this company I think that the only way to deal with such a company is through the courts and the LVTs.

By the way, along with a very clever colleague I have started helping leaseholders with problems particularly with lease extensions and the Right To manage (By which one can legally get rid of companies like Waterglen, DGA,Pier Management or similar).
