Comments:

I do a lot of business with Gap, Inc. (Banana Republic especially) and opened a BR Credit Card, which like all Gap cards, are managed by GE Money.

I have never see a more disorganized company working with consumer credit in my life. Cards they claim to have sent me never arrive, their web site for account inquiry looks about 10 year old, closed accounts can't be removed, you can't contact them online, etc, etc.

It's quite a train wreck and reflects very poorly on the retailers since most customers don't realize the store itself is not managing things.

I assume GE Money must charge the least to retailers or offer a pretty good deal otherwise. Their services and presentation are very poor compared to others.

"Ge Money are a wonderful company and very fair to their customers. Most of you folk sitting there moaning about Ge are in debt due to your own very bad money management. When you buy stuff on credit, it is not yours. It needs paying for, you borrowed from somewhere to get that stuff. Now they want their money back you start complaining, they did not complain when they gave you credit. Why not apply for work as a collector as GE are recruiting at the moment. They have cushy offices with lovely hardworking people and an excellent starting salary."

FAIR TO THEIR CUSTOMERS??!! Yes, maybe. But only during the good times. As soon as the chips are down, they stab you in the back. I tried everything to resolve debts with them and they decided to play awkward. Needless to say, the next step was bankruptcy...and if they don't get their debt settled, it won't be me losing sleep! Things could have been so different!!

Hi Folks, this my first visit here, and I find it very interesting the comments, I have a dispute with GE and have done for the past 4 years, they used to phone on a regular basis, at first I would explain the reasons for the dispute and at the end gave the name and addres of my solicitor. They have not contacted him, and continued with the calls some very nice others aggressive, but I found the best way was to keep calm and stick to the facts. I am hoping that they will raise court action, as I know they are in the wrong and Iam convinced they know this also, otherwise I am sure I would have been in court by now. Sorry for being so long winded, but it would take for ever to go over all the problems I have had with GE, and all it would have taken, was 5 minutes with someone with a bit of common sense, and everything could have been resolved, so yes Iam one of those who would say to anyone, don't have any dealings with this mob whatsoever. The calls have stopped now, and a bad credit outfit have taken over, they informed me that they have bought the debt from GE, has anyone heard of this kind of dealings. I would say they have made a bad purchase

Greedy, shameless, ignorant, very happy with other people’s unfortunate situation, using bed financial times to rob people, rude costumer service!!! To be avoided at all cost.
If you look closer the good feedback's posted only by their employees.
If anyone knows any other site to leave a bad feedback fo GE Money, please let me know.

I think Anthonyh is missing the point. Circumstances do change yes, and you can lose your job very quickly, leaving you with debts that are unpayable. How can someone be expected to pay £thousands off a loan on Jobseekers Allowance?
