I ordered a Hama tripod just before Christmas, which turned out to be faulty. I sent it back and requested a replacement. The replacement tripod arrived 48 hours after I had requested to return the original one. I hadn't even got round to taking the faulty tripod to the post office.
Got to say I love Amazon. Yes they have screwed up sometimes mainly when its for-filled by Amazon but overall they are great! Considering I get 2-5 purchases from them per month mainly for books but either way they do pretty well.
I've had a generally positive experience with Amazon, and I've been using them for years. The only problem I've ever had was when a Nintendo DS I ordered was lost in the post, and they couldn't get me a replacement before Christmas.
Saying that, they apologised and promptly refunded me.
After an appalling experience with Play.com, I went to Amazon. (See my Play.com Blagg) I made my order and immediately received an email confirming that the order was paid!! Yippee... Three hours later I got another email saying some of my order had been despatched!! Yipppeee... Next day Posty arrives with parcels!!! Yippppeeee.... Something in Britain works!!!! Three weeks later after Christmas..... 1 item DVD (Who wants to be a millionaire) was faulty, so had to print a returns label from Amazon... very easy, except my girlfriends printer ran out of ink, so I lost the form. I went home and called Amazon to get another return label.... I got through in 39 seconds, not to an automatic response, but to a person a real person!!!!! albeit in America.... This guy knew about customer service!!!! I got an email while I was still speaking to him with a new return form.... YIPPPPPPEEEEEEEE..... I sent the item back... Within 24 hours they had sent a replacement... Sadly the Royal Mail lost it.... So out of goodwill Amazon sent a second replacement!!! Yipp..... Okay you're getting board of those.... All I can say Amazon did everything possible to make life easy. Thank you Amazon.
