Why do Sky not allow the broadband router to be sent to an alternate address? It means millions of new customers who work have to take the day of or spend saturday morning queuing at the local Post Office to pick up their router.
Every other Internet delivery company seems to manage it like Amazon, ASOS, Ebuyer, Net-a-porter etc.
Sadly, I have had no chance to instal sky broadband because they were so incompetent.
I am a sky tv user and wanted broadband in my flat in central London. I currently do not have a phone socket and sky said they could instal with the broadband.
Nice but useless call centre staff constantly said they would get on with getting socket installed. After so many calls (they never phone back if they claim they will) they said they would refund my money as BT had taken the line that they were going to instal.
I have no idea what this means either but i presume it means sky found someone to blame.
An utter shambles from start (mid Nov) to finish (start Jan) and no broadband. If you are listening Mr Darroch (sky ceo) your service is losing you customers and your contact centre is just not good enough. Shame
