I have used Ebuyer for 5 years and bought £000's of stuff for my small business....now my business is a bigger business...and what does it do? Maps and measures customer experience! Lowest score you can get on our model..-5. Have just run my experience today through my model...and in case you ask was objective...they get -4.8, only PC World score lower in their sector.
My desk printer gave up on me today, so I found the Epson Printer I wanted on e-buyer with delivery tomorrow for a hefty premium. Ordered it and left for a meeting. Having just returned to see they rejected my payment because I processed as a switch/maestro card not a visa/debit which I used for the first time today as it is a new card. I called to be faced by some muppett clearly in a US call centre who said the cutoff was 8pm for processed orders for delivery tomorrow. I explained that every other online payment system is capable of recognising the card type and as I also verified it through Natwest security screen, where was the problem and maybe they could take the payment there and then and pick up an object called a phone and call the warehouse!!
No was the answer. So E-buyer, you lost a loyal 5 year customer and got yourself promoted to my slide which says...Examples of BAD Customer Experience alongside PC World...which gets presented around the world at an average of 3 conferences a week. As a very famous UK retail CEO said to me recently at a House of Lords dinner..."I spend millions building my brand customer experience and several years, but some clown in my organisation can S**** it up in 30 seconds....."
Would not recommend using Ebuyer. As a returning customer, having previously purchased a TV through them 2 years ago, I wished to purchase another. The payment by credit card (going through secure verified 3D check all went through). Also made Paypal payment to them for TV by a Paypal balance (with the address to which the TV was going as a verified/confirmed address). No problem with the Paypal payment either.
Ebuyer have decided to not accept all these secure forms of payment (even though they are all guaranteed payments to Ebuyer) unless I send a copy of my passport picture and number to them or other very confidential information via the internet! On refusal to send this private information they decided to cancel my payments! How ridiculous of them, the payments had gone through but they do not seem to care how much inconvenience they put people through.
Ebuyer need to realise that they are not the only company offering cheap prices. If they wish to treat customers in the bad way that they have done to me, they deserve to lose business - and they certainly will as reputations take a long time to build but are quickly destroyed. They were also very unhelpful on the telephone and I would not ever use them again or suggest anyone else does (unless they wish to have their time wasted by them).
I found an alternative company who have been able to send out my TV for a cheaper price (exact same model) which arrived today, having been ordered yesterday - no problems. When there are so many internet companies to choose from, I think Ebuyer need to look at how they treat their customers.
Poor after sales service to customer avoid this company as much as you can otherwise you'll live to regret.
Ebuyer Uk Limited
This company has the the worst after sales service to it's customers. All it thinks about is making money. They sold me a system that was faulty within it's warranty period they failed to service it and kicked me around and after almost two and half years of battling, I took them to court. They failed to represent themselves due to luck of evident and inefficiency and were order to make a full refund and pay costs. They were given substantial amount of time to make payment i.e. more than 28 days and still failed to make payments and are back with their game of cat and mouse. I've now applied for warrant of execution where I wish and hope the bailiffs will seize their goods for public auction and will be gazetted for everyone to stop trading with this company based in Howden East Yorkshire. See what they had to say "You would not have incurred the extra £100 execution fee, if you would have understood what I was explaining regarding your refunds". Please watch out this online trader before you dip yourself in the same hell am still facing.
I am absolutey disgusted with this company, i oredered two Toshiba laptops and 2 days before delivery i had an email advising me that they need id such as a drivers license or passport, dispite my order being processed through paypal where all address and cards are verified, the money was taken from account. Asuming that this order would just be put on hold so that i could send the required infomation dispute them not detailing this on there website, my order was cancelled i then went to re-order the laptops the same day to only to find out the price had been put up by £55 per laptop. This is why i feel they cancelled my order rather than just putting it on hold. I then phoned after being on hold for 20mins and then being cut off, i phoned again and once again on hold for 20 mins, i spoke to someone and asked to be put through to there supervisers who refused to talk to me. I had to then get my money returned and will never use ebuyer again, The customer servive is disgracful.
I will never use them again!!!!!!!
I've decided to buy a x-mas present for my child in eBuyer shop.
At first-the player was delivered to the wrong address by the courier's mistake.By the advice of Customer Service I did ask my neighbours but did not find anything. After I been told item was delivered to N 45 Martell Road wich is 3 houses away from my house. But they had not any ideas and I had to make a claime of theft in the Police by advice of the Customer Service.I have claim reference number.
Finally, after 3 weeks I received player wich looked already opened,NOT NEW ,did not have a user manual and did not work at all !!! After a few weeks it was collected and found faulty at 27/01/2009.After week new one was received .Player was even in worst condition than first one.So, it was NOT NEW and did not worked at all !!!
I was fed up!!! And I asked my money back! The collection was set again. "Just after a few weeks" item was collected 17/02/2009 !!! And found faulty again. But I had to spent 4 working days(!!!!!) to send it back! Today i received 3-rd but not new again!!!!! Now, I wood ask You to calculate my damages in this story of "great deal" from eBuyer:
1. cost of player : next day delivery V.A.T. (first time payment).Almost £ 70.00 !!!
2. cost of phone calls to eBuyer only for January is £ 46.00, but will be more in February's bills !!!
