Congratulations - you have been accepted as a client of Yes Loans - alarm bells anyone??
I applied for a loan of £3000 to clear some debts in August 2010. I was on the phone for 1hr 15 mins in total answering what seemed like hundreds of questions. Knowing that £3000 would make a huge difference to my circumstances I tried to keep my frustration at bay and keep calm. After about 40 minutes I was transferred to what I assume was another company who tried to get me to part with £220 there and then to claim back money from a car loan I had about 6 years ago (some kind of payment protection I think) The man I spoke to (I really wish I had written all of their names down!!) became quite aggressive when I said that I couldn't afford to part with £220 along with the £69.50 fee they had already said they would take from my bank account in order to arrange my loan. Someone from Yes Loans called me last week and said did I have a couple of minutes to 'go through' my loan application - I advised her that I had filled in all the forms and sent them back and she said 'so you have - I'll put you through to Customer Services' What happened next 'you are number 20 in the queue' 'your call is important to us' 'we are experiencing a very high volume of calls due to the current financial situation' I have tried every day for the last 3 weeks to contact this company without success. I had naively avoided Googling 'has anyone had problems with Yes Loans in the hope that the money would appear in my account or I could at least talk to someone about it, but today I plucked up the courage to do so - and it didn't make for pleasant reading. I feel like a complete mug for parting with my precious £69.50! Does anyone out there want to join me in organising some kind of demonstration outside their offices? It would be worth the train fare from London to Wales......let me know....
we have been sucked in by this company same thing toke £69.50 promised a large loan had paper work sent back money due in are a few days in are account but nothing that was two months ago still trying to get are 69.50 back promised by 6th november dont hold much hope the phone calls have costs us £50 these people need to be stopped we not leting it lie and its still happening totaly wrong .
I think it's a disgrace that they can get away with it! I'm overjoyed I've found this site though as I have a few numbers to call.So hopefully will have my £69 refunded after all! I'ts been 7 months I have been waiting after all the phone calls,BEING KEPT ON HOLD FOR 45 MINS EACH TIME,having the cash taken from my account then cutting me off as soon as they had my details its a joke., hope to have my pound of flesh soon, don't give up keep trying till you win.
I'm in shock!! I didn't ever think this would happen.I applied to Yes loans 3 weeks before xmas last year. For a loan of £1000 as I was overdrawn at the bank and being a single parent I had just lost my job too.Half way through the call I was asked for £69 which was to be taken out within 48 hrs,I was cut off shortly after this.I went to the bank next day for a loan there instead which I received but while there noticed the cash had already left my account. I rang yes loans complained and was told to write to them explaining and I would get a refund.NOT SO I was kept on hold for 45 mins both times I rang them and was told the same thing that id get a refund.I have written 2 letters and phoned 3 times now!! And that was almost 7 mnths ago i really could be doing with having it refunded but they really dont care clearly!! I don't know where to turn for help.

i applied for a loan with this company(want to use worse language about them but i won`t) they took my fee money then i heard nothing else which after reading your comments this is nothing new.
i e-mailed with no reply i phoned just to be put on hold,
after getting angry i e-mailed them to say i was reporting them and guess what no response
so i did
i e-mailed the finacial ombudsman and reported they had taken my money without any further action by them to get a loan
2 weeks later i got a letter saying they had contacted these people and to contact the ombudsman if no luck with yesloans
and guess what i ahd a cheque from yesloans a couple of days later
so if anyone else is in the situation i was in contact the finacial ombudsman or e-mail me at pompeysimmo69@aol.com and i will try to help
excuse the spelling mistakes but i`m just overjoyed to have won over these people and got my fees back
Please avoid this company. We were looking for a loan to have some work done on our house. We contacted these and they approved us for a £15k loan, gauranteed. Was then put on to another department that said they could legally wipe your credit card bills if card is so many years old. After a very hard pressure sales experience I agreed to this. They asked for my card details to see if I'd be able to make the payment on it. Was then told I'd been charged £750 for this, i thought oh well as long as they wipe my card debt out i supose it's worth it. We then paid the arrangement fee for the loan and sent the paperwork back, after being told that we'd then get paperwork from the loan company we'd been allocated to as Yesloans are only a broker (that wasn't mentioned before). But not to worry once we'd sent this additional paperwork back money would be in our account in a few days.
Waited and waited for paperwork, but nothing came. After a week contacted them and was told that the company offering me a loan could only do ones up to £3000 and they were waiting to see if another company offered me a loan. But were very insistent i filled in the paperwork for the credit card wiping services.
When you deal with them they can be rude, put you on hold without telling you, cut you off for no reason, all the time charging you a premium rate phonecall.
Absolute nightmare, please avoid them at all costs !
