Dear all
I have been a customer with Lloyds TSB Bank over 4 years and I was sold the mobile insurance which costs me £7.99 a month 2 years ago. I wish I hadn't accepted the offer.
I lost my mobile on the 19Th of August 2010 and called the bank to claim, they told me I had to call the insurance company directly, so when I called the insurance company which is known as (Life Style) they told me that they send me the claim form. When I received the claim form it was written that I had to send them the proof of purchase which I did not have it at that time.
I contacted the insurance company (Life Style) again to tell them that I did not have the proof of purchase, but they told me that they would not accept my claim with out the proof of purchase.
I had to contact the company I was insured with before I moved to the (Life Style), so they said that they would send me the receipt.
I had to wait 3 weeks for them till I got the receipt and filled in the form and sent it to the Life Style Insurance company.
To cut the story short I finally got my mobile phone yesterday the 13Th of October and when I placed the Sim in to the mobile, it was showing inactivate sim.
I called my air provider when they checked the IMEI number of the phone, they told me that the phone was black listed. I was advised to contact the insurance company and tell them to unlock the phone.
Today first thing in the morning I did was that I contacted the Life Style Insurance company and told them, all they told me was sorry and that was all, but when I asked them that why did they send me the black listed mobile all she said was that the company does not have control over their warehouse.
The people who work in the warehouse are the ones who check and dispatch the orders to the customers that was all.
The girl I was talking to said that I will receive a special delivery bag in a few days and all I have to do is put the black listed phone on the special delivery bag and send it to the warehouse and it will take 10 working days to get another phone which all depends on the availability of the stock.
I called the Bank to complain and one of the employee said that he could not take the complains because the insurance company is a separate company.
How astonishing is that the Bank takes the money on behalf of the company, but the Bank does not have anything to do with the company.
