I have used Authorised Publications twice over the past couple of years in cambridgeshire, advertising in the Self care guide and I have to be honest, I have had a very satisfactory response given the cost of the advertising. I have found some of the comments on this site quite confusing as I have been pleased with the response I had from my advert. I am the owner of a fairly small business and cannot afford some of the costs other bigger advertising companys charge. I will continue to advertise in self care guide as it has worked for me very well.
I placed a advert in the Self Care guide through Authorised Publications back in October last year and if possible, Could you please pass a massive thanks onto the sales and art departments.
I was contacted by a member of the sales staff at authorised publications who were very very helpful indeed in deciding what would work best for my marketing needs and future area coverage expantion.
A few weeks later I had a call from the production/art department who were very helpful and even designed a revamp of our company logo for me. Iv seen some indifferent reviews on this site but I can only talk about my experience.
I would like to say that i could not recommend this company highly enough really as they dealt with my advertising extremely efficiently, and also id like to thank andy for a wonderful advert.

One has to laugh at the stupidity of the company involved. Every time a negative comment, or should I say truthful comment is posted, they go out of their way to write a false representation from a fictitious company making out they were satisfied with the service. I have looked up a few of them and surprise,surprise either the person or company do not exist !!
Believe what you like...............AVOID at all costs
Never replies to your attempts to get in contact.
Publishes fake positive reviews from fake companies.
Passes your number onto similar "publications" who won't stop calling to offer similar "Deals".
Then, by all means, go ahead.
Luckily, I did a bit of research & found that half of the positive reviews here & elsewhere are either from companies who have never heard of these people or that don't exist.
A Google search for any of these terms (from previous reviews) should help you make up your mind:
Don't exist. Do they? Quite the coincidence!
That's just a small sample.
Feel free to take the URL from other email addresses & search for them before you hand over any money.
Any of the legitimate companies mentioned in previous reviews have never heard of Authorised Publications & in one case didn't even have a company email address in their database for the person who had written said review.
Anyone I've spoken to that did hand over money has complained of zero distribution or recurring adverts & payments that they hadn't agreed to.
CUE A PLETHORA OF GOOD REVIEWS ABOVE THIS ONE TO TRY & COUNTERACT WHAT I'VE SAID.
But don't hesitate to check the company website the reviewer claims to be from. Or to call any legitimate company you happen to come across.
I'm sure they'd be more than happy to hear that their name is being used illegally to bolster the reputation of Authorised Publications.
I was spurred on to write this negative review due to the fact that AUTHORISED PUBLICATIONS are very convincing. A Google search reveals very little.
I would suggest anyone affected in any way to write a review (even a few lines)& include the term AUTHORISED PUBLICATIONS so that it shows up in search engine listings.
It might help others avoid making the same mistakes.

My company where approached and offered an advert in one of their publications. The service offered was interesting to us. As a new business getting your name known in the local area is very important. They offered us a place in their community care guide. This publication was to be circulated to all health centres, care homes, care centres, Doctors surgeries etc in our area and would have over 10,000 copies. Sounded good and we didn't have to pay for nearly six months, a bargain to a new business. So we agreed. After a few emails we agreed the advert and sat back to await publication, distribution and invoice. Well the invoice came. So to be fair to Authorised Publications they did meet 33% of the contract.
In the meanwhile they contacted us again to advise of another of their publications in which an advertiser had withdrawn on the last minute and that we could have a full cover page for considerably less than normal. We had not had any problems at this stage (it was only a matter of weeks since their first contact) so we thought sounds good and agreed. Again Authorised publications only met 33% of the contract, funnily enough the same 33% they met with the first advert.
This company rings with offers that sound to good to be true. And to be fair if it sounds to good to be true it generally is.
They promise the earth and deliver a small plot of ground.
I am more than happy to be contacted through this site by any person wishing to discuss the matter further, if Authorised Publications wish to contact me through this site please do, atleast it will be some form of contact from you. If anyone else out there wishes to form a group to take this outfit on through legal channels again I would love to hear from you.
I must say I find it most amusing that every time the truth is posted about this company ripping off their clients, it is followed by entries from clients that do not exist who are amazed at the quality of service. It's such a shame that these days its so difficult to find a company that values its customers, so as soon as I dealt with yourselfs I felt I had to let you know.
I was contacted by a very helpful sales team in the first instance, I was then passed onto my very own designer who designed all my artwork and a wonderful new company logo for me and I have to say it looks great and can use in all my marketing.
I couldnt believe after i contacted a larger marketing company just how much they wanted just to design a logo.

I find it quite incredible that following all the bad comments, the company has found time to use ficticious names and companies to try and prove themselves. Unfortunately I did 'advertise' with them and I was very fortunate to get the only 2 copies of the guide they printed. Non stop offers of cheaper rates until I agreed, then non stop phone calls and letters from ficticious companies threatening legal action..Avoid at all costs !!

Also, in my opinion when I have gone into the ccg before on the odd occasion they did come out a month late but through circumstances which were beyond there control which were very forgivable, sometimes things dont go exactly to plan but one GREAT thing is it is always quickly resolved by either the distribution and admin team!!

achieve this the practice is continually aiming to educate patients in
alternatives to GP appointments and attending A&E for minor ailments. Self

Then shortly later I had a call from their art department, Alex who was very professional and done a fabulous job, especially as I only had limited material for him to work with.
I recommend this company especially the Care Guide I went into highly, they dealt with my advertising needs extremely effectively, and since my adverts have gone out I have had a fair few enquiries and gained new clients.

Im very happy to have used and will continue to use this print company. Iv read a few reviews on this site and in all fairness I found some of them reviews quite entertaining.
Authorised publications were very helpful in my case and I have to say I thought that I would say a personal thank you as my surgery has only been running for 18 months now and my budget for getting the word out was not what one would call huge.I recommend the Self care mag very highly indeed and since it went out I have had numorous new clients gained. I was chased by this company to publish several ads in their Self Care/Community care guides in 2010, as my business was just starting up, and these were to be distributed in my target market, I was interested to go along.
After that all communication from AP Ltd stopped, until I started getting a bill for over £800.
I contacted them to let them know I had not received any proof, or confirmation that the publications had been distributed.
I have also been contacted by several other people who advertised in the supposed "proof" copy of the publication asking about my experience.
Together we requested confirmation that the product had been delivered and in what areas.
I received around 10 pages of addresses, however most were duplicate addresses, or locations which no longer existed.
Of those that did exist, I visited the location in person, taking the proof copy along with me, and asked the staff if they had received delivery of such an item.
Not a single location that they claim to have distributed to, has received the copy that was supposed to be distributed, or any other version of these items.
Almost 2 years later they continue to hound me even though this case was escalated to trading standards, and as they have not distributed this publication, they are in breach of contract.
Every 6 months, a new debt collection agency attempts to bully me into paying the debt they claim I owe but I refuse to pay for something that does not exist.
As previously mentioned, you will soon see several positive reviews attempting to push this negative review off the page, but the companies who do post positively either don't exist, or have never heard of Authorised Publications.

Again Authorised publications only met 33% of the contract, funnily enough the same 33% they met with the first advert.
This company rings with offers that sound to good to be true. And to be fair if it sounds to good to be true it generally is.
They promise the earth and deliver a small plot of ground.

If anyone else out there wishes to form a group to take this outfit on through legal channels again I would love to hear from you.
Authorised publications were very helpful in my case and I have to say I thought that I would say a personal thank you as my surgery has only been running for 18 months now and my budget for getting the word out was not what one would call huge.I recommend the Self care mag very highly indeed and since it went out I have had numorous new clients gained. I would like to thank the team for all there efforts.
I was chased by this company to publish several ads in their Self Care/Community care guides in 2010, as my business was just starting up, and these were to be distributed in my target market, I was interested to go along.
After that all communication from AP Ltd stopped, until I started getting a bill for over £800.
I contacted them to let them know I had not received any proof, or confirmation that the publications had been distributed.
I have also been contacted by several other people who advertised in the supposed "proof" copy of the publication asking about my experience.
Together we requested confirmation that the product had been delivered and in what areas.
I received around 10 pages of addresses, however most were duplicate addresses, or locations which no longer existed.
Of those that did exist, I visited the location in person, taking the proof copy along with me, and asked the staff if they had received delivery of such an item.
Not a single location that they claim to have distributed to, has received the copy that was supposed to be distributed, or any other version of these items.
Almost 2 years later they continue to hound me even though this case was escalated to trading standards, and as they have not distributed this publication, they are in breach of contract.
Every 6 months, a new debt collection agency attempts to bully me into paying the debt they claim I owe but I refuse to pay for something that does not exist.
As previously mentioned, you will soon see several positive reviews attempting to push this negative review off the page, but the companies who do post positively either don't exist, or have never heard of Authorised Publications.
I cant recommend Authorised publications and the various Care Guides they publish highly enough really, they dealt with my advertising needs extremely efficiently and correctly.
On a final note, Cost and Value for money is a major plus with Authorised publications and I must say Im a very satified customer.
