I am trying to reply to a review that I have listed below this one as for some reason the site will not let me directly respond to it!
I am really pleased to read this review and I agree with it totally.
I had a great time with new ID in Birmingham. My husband treated me to the Platinum package with a voucher be brought from Buy a Gift for my birthday. After I had my make over and has such a good time about it I decided to do a review for them online I was really shocked to see what some people had written about them. I went to the Birmingham branch which is kinda funny because you used a girl from Birmingham in the London branch but my experience with the Birmingham staff was the same as yours. They are really friendly, really helpful, I totally agree with what you have said about the consultation, it really does make you feel that you are being taken care of and what you actually want is being considered and if you are anything like me and did fancy a bit of a radical change then it was great to get the opportunity to ask advice and feel good about your decision before you went for it. My hair stylist was called Lou Lou and she gave me an excellent new style and not only that but she gave me a style that I can now do it two ways, I am a bit heavy handed with the straightening wand but she has given me a cut that I can style in a way that I love and I don’t need to make is straight and not only that but she suggested a treatment for me to use to repair the damage I have done with the hot wand. She was chatty and totally explained exactly what she was doing and I was really so happy with her that I know next time I get a cut I am going to go back to Birmingham, from Cheltenham on the train and use her again, unless I can persuade her to come and work in Cheltenham! Hey if your girl can commute so can mine! Hanna did my make up and again same experience, lots of personal interest and although it was a lot more make up than I would normally use and if I did use that it would be for night time it was perfect for the camera and I was made up when is saw the photos. I was surprised how expensive they were but as I have put on another review compared to what my husband spends on smoking its nothing and I agree with your wedding photos comment too. There is a double your money thing here too so if you pay before you go then what ever you put in they match so you can have all your photos at half price and that is exactly what I am doing to do next time, save up and get the lot and they pay half. I think you are quite right about peoples attitude. The day I went the studio was really busy but I was treated really well all day, there were plenty of refreshments and any time there was a bit of a delay I was entertained by James the manager who is one of the nicest people I have met in a long time so yes, totally, I think it is the person having the experience that is the problem and that is why some people are being pretty harsh about this company online. I was only going to write one review today and now I feel like stating my point of view on every site! I hope you do get to go again I know I will be going it’s a great way to give you a nice big girlie boost!
My mum and i are just back from a few days in London during which we had our Deluxe Fashion Experience. This was a Xmas gift from my fiance and being my usual self I looked it up on Google to see what reviews I could find. I was horrified when all I found were negative reviews (although in all fairness there weren't many reviews in the first place) and I think only one positive review which one negative reviewer suggests is an in house review. I went there with trepidation and didn't know what to expect but I have now come to realise that each individual is different and must make their own opinion on things. We arrived and were made to feel very welcome in this trendy salon (we were at Central London 1). I met my hair stylist and she had a good talk with me about my hair and what I wanted. Firstly, those massage chairs at the hair wash basins are fabulous! I want one! Secondly, she totally listened to what I asked for; I have been growing my hair and didn't want it too short but wanted some volume to it. The cut and finish was perfect! Next we went downstairs to the makeover area where we had to fill out a short consultation form which gave us a chance to outline what we wanted from the experience. The girl who was taking us through it was lovely. I didn't catch her name but she was a very friendly genuine girl. While we were waiting to have our nails done, we met Sharon. Sharon is from Birmingham and travels every day to London to work in this salon even though there is a branch in Birmingham. The girls says it's because she loves her job so much and it really does show. She was always in talking to everyone in the waiting area, telling us how great we looked and genuinely taking an interest. This was a great touch! We then both had our nails done which was great and didn't take very long at all. Then it was make up. I had only literally sat down when my make up artist Tina came through for me! I loved getting my make up done; Tina, my Polish make up arist, was fantastic. She was great fun to chat to whilst having my makeup done and I felt that she really enjoyed her work and enjoyed making people look great. She took such a personal interest in me and we had a lovely chat which was definitely not your usual "going on holiday this year" type fare! Very nice lady indeed! We were then all set to go! The photoshoot was next and the female photographer took us through what to do; casual outfits first, funk it up a little and then the best at the end! She also took us to a few different sets which was great! I'm not a natural in front of a camera and was pretty nervous about this part but I loved it! She told us exactly how to stand, move etc. She was great. We then were taken through for our photo viewing with a very nice gentleman. We firstly went through taking out the ones we didn't like. We then reduced it down until we reached our budget for buying photos. He did actually do a package on what we bought so we saved a lot of cash; I was originally planning to buy one A4 print at £70 and have my free print but he managed to do a package working out at £230 and that included 4 individual shots of me, 4 individual shots of my mum and 2 shots of us together. £115 each isn't too bad for 4 pics of ourselves and 1 each of us together (we'll make copies so we can each have them both). I know it sounds pretty expensive for photos to some but I bet a lot of folk out there have paid around £800-1000 for a wedding photographer! Same thing! Anyway, having had such a wonderful experience, I was happy to pay for these shots, they really looked amazing! Another point I'd like to make is how surprised I was that there was no hard sell for the hair products, make up or photos. When we said we had a budget, he helped us reach it. I really wanted to make this review to make people aware that it's not a terrible company in everyone's view. Sure, some people may have a bad experience but we couldn't fault anything about the day! There was one young teen girl having her photos done and god knows how they managed to put up with her! She was snotty and obnoxious and they did everything to keep her happy. If i was her mother, I'd have marched her straight back out the door! SO I kind of think that sometimes it's the person having the experience who can sometimes be the problem! Just in some cases mind and no offence to those who had a genuinely bad day. But all in all, I loved it and would do it again in a heartbeat
