What is all the negativity about this company? I had a very pleasant young man come and design my kitchen. He was not at all pushy or heavy. After a few weeks I had a call from the company to say that there had been a big fire. By this time I had read all the bad reviews and quite frankly was worried. The person I spoke with said that my kitchen would be delivered on the Wednesday. Wednesday came and so did my kitchen. I had by this time read the reviews about things missing and being broken etc. I checked my order with the delivery driver and all was fine. My fitters told me that it was all of good quality and better than a lot. The back panels of the units were not made of hardboard like some are and in fact of the same material as the actual carcasses. My kitchen is now installed and looks fantastic! Better than I imagined after paying such a low price. They have my vote!! I am very satisfied.
i ordered a kitchen online.next day the desigener was outside my houe .he took the measurment and £100 down payment cash for a kitchen worth £370.That was last week of jan.09 and i received the kitchen 0n 9th of feb.I hired a fitter and when he checked the stuff it was not the one which was in the design and the material was not the one whoich i was shown.on top of it three doors missing.i caleed them and told them the whloe story. i was told that it wiil take 21 working days to deliever the doors.i was realy surprised but i kept my patience.after 21 working days received nothing.called them again and this time i was tol that the doors are not ready and they will let me know.After ten days i received a call and teeling me that they will deliever the doors by DHL.Received nothing after ten days rand them again and this time i was todl that i will get the doors in 21 working daysand that was 15th of April 09.these 21 working days was supposed to be completed on 15 of may.when i rang them and asked them about the doors, the lady in the company took my details and asked me to hold for few seconds, after few second she disclosed to my surprised that she has'nt got any record of mine and she is unable to help me.
I will appeal to all not to get involved with this company in any kind of deal or offer.they are proper cheat.
Same as most other people really, the designer came to my house, drew up a plan and we negotiated a price for the kitchen she had designed (price went from £3386 to £1300 so if you do use this company, dont accept the first price!)We then paid a £50 deposit and were told delivery would be within 2 weeks. Received a call about 10 days later asking if I would like the kitchen carcasses assembled rather than flat packed for an extra £50, as time is an issue for me and I had ordered 12 units I agreed. A delivery date was planned so I took the day off work as they said they would phone one hour before they arrived at my house. At 17.20 the delivery driver phoned and said he would be leaving Oldham in half an hour. I am about 3 hours away so expected delivery at about 21.00. This phone call was the last I heard. The kitchen didn't arrive. That evening I found this site and began to panic! I phoned the office the next day and was promised a call back in half an hour, this never happened. I called back again and was told that the van had broken down and the kitchen would be delivered that evening. Fair enough it was, when it arrived I asked the driver if everything was present and he confirmed it was so we unloaded the kitchen into the house. When we checked it there were 2 doors missing and some of the small units were clearly larger units that had ben cut down and screwed together again, also the extra £50 for pre-assembled units seems to be a con as the units were wrapped in plastic with stickers saying they were assembled in November 2007 meaning they just wanted £50 for doing nothing! The driver said the doors would be delivered by courier within 48 hours but after reading these reviews I was unwilling to part with any cash until I had a complete kitchen. The driver phoned the office and passed the phone to my partner. The woman on the phone said that if we didn't pay today then the kitchen would have to be loaded back onto the van and taken away. She then hung up the phone! Nice! So, as instructed the kitchen was loaded up and taken away, much to the delivry drivers annoyance. I asked the driver if this happens a lot and he said 'all the time, I'm sick of this company!' A good reference indeed! Anyway, I have heard nothing further from rock solid kitchens and am glad that they have only had a £50 deposit as I have absolutely no faith that the missing parts would have arrived leading to a lengthy process to get my kitchen finished, to sum up, don't bother with this company they are a bunch of cowboys that deliver shoddy goods then vanish with your money given half the chance! Stay away!
