I agree with the other comments. Sedi furniture (who used to work out of the address as classicfurniture4u) have a long history of taking orders & not delivering. I ordered a Florence Knoll style sofa & finally got it after 6 months, & an Egg chair which I never recieved, & was never refunded for.
The individual who owns Sedi & now Italian Classics Direct, & who also owned World Of Leather is Martin Barnett (no connection with the Martin Barnett shop which was bought from Martin Barnett years ago)
Apparently it is perfectly legal to start up companies, take money from customers, not deliver, go bust & then sttart another company.
I also saw that he was using a photo of a beautiful B & B Italia piece to represent one of his cheap chinese knockoff outdoor pieces. Tsk tsk.
I agree with everything here. See my comments about ItalianClassicsDirect.com. If you are still not convinced look on the ICD website, the registered address is now the same as Sedi's old address; 2 accommodation rd.
I also had a bad experience with Sedi, i recently found out they are now trading under Italian Classics Direct Ltd. They sell exactly the same items just under a different name! Seems they will never stop. Strongly advise against going anywhere near this company. They will likely take your money and not deliver, then go bust!
Ordered a trendy hammock from them. It arrived after a 3 month delay. After three weeks the laminated wood started to split. They picked it up and stated that a replacement would be sent.
Yes it never arrived. I asked for a refund, they said yes of course. That was the last I heard from them. It looks like they have ceased trading.
Terrible company. Probably that's why they went down.
