avoid at all costs, pay abit extra nad get from a reputable company
do not buy at any cost, we ordered a new kicthen from this company in April 2007, it was delivered late, parts were missing and some of the doors had the wrong patterns, I ordered plinths and kick backs which i didnt receive ( i ma still waiting!!!!), my work surface was the wrong one, i paid for a solid wood surafce, i received a cheap chipboard laminate.
i called the company many many many times and i was told that i had to email them , which i did, again many many many times, then they had the nerve to email me saying to call them!!! i then called them , i was then told that i had to email them, it was a vicious circle, its distressing that as a pregnant woman i was put through all that all for the sake of a kitchen, since i ordered my kitchen i have had my son but still no parts to my kitchen!!!!

don't touch this so called company, i have been fitting kitchens for over twenty years i went to fit one off RSK and it was beyond belief what they had sent out when i phoned to complain they refused to do anything,i have reported them to trading standards.any reports of anything any good must be from the owner don't touch them with a barge pole.

I am a kitchen fitter, been fitting kitchens for many years,i have fitted a few of rock solid kitchens, the problem they have is, you dont recieve everything on delivery, wrong units, baddly cut boards,edging strip comes away, chips on front of boards, and when you call to complain you dont get anyone ringing you back, i have had to remake units for customers so the kitchen can get finished and build draw boxes,not a company to recommend.

I think the really good comments that are being left here on this site are from the people of maples themselfs.
There is a huge problem with this company and the best people to help are trading standards. They will do what they can and help you. They helped me even though it had to go to court but that, rock solid have to pay aswell. Such an easy process.
I had missing items for months. Theres no point going to the mill coz u have to stand there for ages and still have no luck.
TRADING STANDARDS or COUNTY COURT! Finish them for good

i have just found this site today i am awaiting delivery of my kitchen tomorrow 17th march 09. After reading this i will open every box and double check everything but i will inform the driver that if anything is missing i will not part with any cash until i recieve complete kitchen. I am grateful for this site i will post further info after tomorrow.

Just sent their driver back with whole order at 11.30pm!!

Lots of parts missing or wrong which was a great shame as quality looked OK.

I would have accepted the order if I had not found this site and 2 trading Standards warnings after I had placed my order!

Given that this is a cash only retailer you have no comeback and, given the problems others have had with after sales... best stay away!

Designer got it wrong and delivery at nearly midnight is a joke after you have taken the day off!

Contract is not worth the paper it is written on as no 7 day written 'cooling off period' notice is given in writing as required by law.

They so 'nearly' got it right but let down by bad staff....shame! they could clean up!

You might get lucky but is it worth the gamble?

ordered kitchen from company and paid £200 deposit. delivery due next week. May I thank all the prople on here who have posted their experiences. After reading the horribe stories about this company, i telephoned and emailed to cancel asking for a refund of my £200. No reply to fone call or email (no surprise there). Has anyone got their deposit back? Suppose we are one of the lucky ones to find out before we parted with our money. What reputible company asked for cash on delivery and dont take credit cards....this is when alarm bells started to ring and decided to google company. Many thanks for all your help and my sympathies go out to all you very unlucky people who were not as fortunate as us.

We have had countless problems with this company, to list a few: delayed delivery date, incomplete delivery, faulty products, poor quality goods, non-matching cupboard door and casing colours, exceptionally poor customer service - next to no response. The wall cupboards actually fell off of the walls as a fault of the product (not fitting), smashing all the glasses in the cupboards and damaging other parts of the kitchen.
I would never use this company again and strongly recommend that no-one else does. A complete waste of money and not even an apology.
