they called me and offered a better package then i already had with another company, so i took it, 3 days had gone and i did not get any authorization for payment so i called to ask, it took 2 days to get an answer which was "we cant offer you this product, it will cost you 399gbp per month!!! the offer they made was 99gbp per month, so i asked for a refund and they claim i will get a cheque in 21 days, basically, they took a loan for their cash flow on my expense
The offer sounded intriguing when they called and I was ready to jump in. They quoted me an intro rate of $149US and then proceeded to charge $178US. Luckily the charge was blocked and I only eventually found out about the additional amount by calling my Credit Card company to find out why there was a block. They said because that company had tried 4 different times without putting in the proper info so it flagged my card. While on the phone with my credit card company I found this site with these comments so I told them to continue to block the charges.
Prior to checking with my credit card company and during a half hour period Matchmaker called me 4 times wanting me to give them a different card and/or my debit card. I refused because I make it a policy NEVER TO give out my bank debit card on the internet or phone. I told the agent the "universe" probably didn't think it was a good idea for me and I was willing to accept that. They were very pushy trying to convince me it was safe and that this offer was only good for today, so I said I would call them back after checking with my credit card company as to why there was a block. I tried to call Matchmaker at 718-374-6942 2x only to get a voice mail. Eventually they called me back and I told them no thanks! And they called me back again from 01-612391005 and I just didn't answer the phone
Whew! Sometimes fate is on my side! This company may offer a good service, I'll never know...but what I do know it they are pushy and they tried to charge an amount that was NOT authorized by me. Also, when a company that is supposedly working with a huge corporation like Google, one expects to be put on hold for an agent rather than directed to voice mail. Another red flag!
