IT IS NOW NEARLY A YEAR AGO WHEN I READ AN ADVERT ABOUT MFI BANKRUPT KITCHENS.AFTER A PHONE CALL THE REP CAME AND MEASURED UP MY "DREAM KITCHEN", A PRICE WAS AGREED AND A DELIVERY DATE WAS AGREED. ON ARRIVAL I HAD TO CHECK ALL "PARTS "MYSELF BUT MOST WERE PACKAGED UP, MISSING WAS MY DISHWASHER, THE DRIVER HAD TO CALL HIS OFFICE AND AFTER A HEATED EXCHANGE OF WORDS THE DISHWASHER PRICE WAS TAKEN OFF MY BILL.WHEN THE TIME CAME TO START BUILDING MY KITCHEN I FOUND PARTS WERE MISSING,THE OVEN I ORDERED WAS WRONG AND APPROX 5 YEARS OLD, THE SINK UNIT WAS DENTED, AND DOORS WERE BADLY SCRATCHED,MARKED AND DENTED.BELIEVE ME IF I SAY IT TOOK ME AT LEAST 4 MONTHS OF PHONE CALLS TO THIS COMPANY TO GET THE SITUATION RESOLVED. IN THE END I PACKED UP ALL MY DEFECTIVE PARTS AND DROVE TO THEIR OFFICES, W O W WHAT I SAW WAS BEYOND BELIEF, A RAMSHACKLED RUN DOWN PROPERTY, BROKEN WINDOWS , BROKEN TRUCKS , I REALLY HAD TO MAKE MYSELF UNPOPULAR , I FIRST SPOKE TO A PERSON AT 09 30 AM ,, AND IT WASNT UNTIL 12 30 THAT I LEFT WITH MOST OF MY "NEW PARTS", THAT WAS LAST OCTOBER 2009, EVEN NOW, TODAY I HAD A PHONE CALL FROM THIS COMPANY 4 TH FEBRUARY 2010, AND MY PARTS STILL HAVE NOT BEEN DELIVERED.. EVERY BODY WHO I HAVE SPOKEN TO REGARDING MY KITCHEN HAVE BEEN RUDE TO ME ,, EVEN TO THE POINT OF CHARGING ME FOR DELIVERY !! AGAIN W O W WHAT A COMPANY!!!!
I wish I had found this site before using Rock Solid Kitchen. Firstly they delivered the wrong size of unit, I eventually got a replacement. Then the Hob had an electrical fault- they won't replace it because the qualified electrician I used to test it "was not a Ltd Co" and "didn't charge VAT"! The fact he was a sole trader and not VAT registered doesn't make him any less qualified!!! I am taking them to small claims court - does anyone know if they are a Ltd Co or not?
dont go to this company. all i can say that those of you who have been lucky with them you are lucky.i purchased a kitchen. there were parts missing door. draws.and other parts.i tried to get them on the phone high rate calls. for 3 weeks. i emailed.no one answers the phone or emails back. so my husband and i went to manchester. oh my god.it shuts at 4. we got there at 3.34. they could not see us. so we stayed in hotel for the night.went back in the morning.they are the rudest people i have ever meet.i had to walk up to the top of the mill.dirty is not the word.nobody would talk to me for the first hour and then this rude person spoke to me.the place is full of cheap labour.if you think people are badley treated in india.you should go and see how they are treated there.we then got a parking ticket.in total is cost us another £300.00. just to pick up our bits that were missing.and about £30.00. in phone calls that were not even answered.my experiance with this company is yuk.they dont even have a manager or director to speak to so if you are thinking of buying and you dont believe any of this try to get through to after sales before you order.
i used this company aug last year i paid £1000 for my kitchen includeing appliances which i thought was great...i did not read any of these comments and did not know anything??
but thank god mine all went fine there was things missing when the fitter came to do it but he went back to them and got the missing parts and came back to finish the day after, yeh its not the best of best quality i can see the flaws but no one else can and it is all solid and not going to break and for £1800 all together with fitting you carnt go wrong.
Hey my kitchen is fine from these guys! You can get a £4000 kitchen for just over a grand and its decent quality.. you obviously seen somethimg you liked in order to place an order!! I rang up and asked for someone to go through the plans with me, and sure enough that is what happened, got delivered, we checked it through with a fine toothcomb. it was all there!! and all these comments got me very worked up. over nothing it turns out.
Currently undergoing small claims court proceedings with this company to at least try and get some money back. Only 1/3 of the kitchen arrived and after trying to speak to their customer service which have unreasonable response times (10 working days) and then being met by outright rude staff, i handed the case over to trading Standards. Please please don't fall into the same trap as me - you will loose money and sleep and be utterly disappointed that conmen like these are still allowed to trade. A disgrace to honest and hard working people in the trade.
Have issued proceedings in the county court. This company has the most shocking trading practices and is well known to Consumer Direct and Trading Standards Officers around the country.
Keep records of all your faxes and emails - you cannot get them by phone anyway as they have disconnected them due to massive number of complaints. They will never put anything in writing! Don't delay and if there are any unsatisfactory items not sorted within 7 days - Get advice from consumer direct - then reject the whole lot using their template letter.
