We bought a kitchen from this company in 2008. its now 2011 and the handles still haven't arrived. Some of the cupboards had been used before. The taps were no good, the sink is very poor quality, most of the doors have laminate coming away. STAY AWAY FROM ANYTHING TO DO WITH VANCE MILLER & ALAN FORD = KITHEN'S DIRECT ,KITCHENS FOR LESS ,MAPLE, ROCK SOLID plus I SUSPECT A FEW MORE NAMES

Bought this kitchen in January, wish i'd known about these websites before i bought it though. Everything you read on these sites is TRUE!!!! After recieving numerous phone calls promising me to send these parts out that are missing it never happens. Phoned again, said they would get in touch and i'm still waiting. Been through the trading standards they nearly as bad as the company mentioned(rocksolid kitchens) dont seem to do anything for you still got a half finished kitchen. Looks like we will have to start again as i said at the beginning PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT GO NEAR THESE PEOPLE THEY ARE ROUGES!!!!

is it just me or is it everyone else who isnt careful with their money? i've read some of the negative comments and all i can say is that if you're going to spend over 1000 pounds of your hard earned cash, make a list of what you should have and check your delivery!! I did exactly that. admittedly, although everything was there, two of the doors were damaged, which i didn't spot before i paid, and it did take 3 weeks to get them replaced,(but as it took 5 weeks from order to delivery i wasn't expecting them to be replaced the next day)I also had some handles missing on final fitting count, so i bought them myself. all in all i am over the moon with my kitchen. The quality is the same but It cost less than half of what B & Q quoted and have you read the complaints about their customer service? and the other kitchen companies on here? It seems, with all the different components, that all kitchen companies have problems with orders from time to time. At the price i paid, i was happy to give and take a little and would recommend rocksolid to anyone who is careful how they spend their money

my wife left a comment a few weeks back saying we were worried because we'd paid a deposit then read the comments on this site. here's the promised update.....To cut a long story short, i'd have to say we were slightly disappointed but in the long run we probably got as much, or slightly more than we paid for. We'd paid a deposit, and when the delivery arrived, we checked EVERYTHING (or so we thought) then paid the driver. It turned out that although all the handles were ther, they were a totally different design to the ones we ordered. After several phone calls and several more e-mails, after 2 weeks we still hadnt been sent our original order of handles, so in the end we gave up and fitted the ones we'd been sent. three weeks later ( a total of 5 weeks late), lo and behold, a complete set of our handles arrived unannounced by post.We have offered to send the unwanted handles back if a cheque is sent for the postage, but have been told we can keep them as compensation. I'm ashamed to say we sold them to our friend at a big discount! So, the customer service may leave a lot to be desired but in the end we actually got more than we paid for! Onn the whole, with reservations, we probably would reccomend this company. after all, have you read some of the horror stories posted on here about some of the big national names, like MFI? I can only presume that most companies that supply kitchens have problems now and again. I'm just glad we paid such a low price for ours!

dont purchase a kitchen from this company!!!!
only just order a kitchen about 2 weeks ago, paid the 200.00 deposit cash upfront as asked from rep, only wanted to alter the plans slightly, but seems to be a nightmare. the compant have been promising to call us back for 2 weeks, and still havent, been dealing with 2 woman from the delivery dept, they know who they are. finally they sent out a rep today, who turned up a hour and half late, he started to shout at my mum, telling her he has been knocking for a hour, which he hadnt because my mum had the front door open the whole time, in the end my mum told him to leave. we have had enough of this compant already. i have contacted them again today and asked them to refund us our deposit of 200.00. they said they will call us in the afternoon, so we will just have to see if they do. in the mean time my mum has pulled out all her kitchen. so we are now in the position of trying to find another good recommended kitchen company. if the company dont refund us we will be seeking legal advice. i would strongly recommend that no one orders anything from this company, the worst customer services i have ever had to deal with. i think i may need to get in touch with watchdog!!! i will keep you all posted

No one should buy from this company.Despite being ordered by the courts to cease trading,they just continue in their own corrupt way,sending incorrect goods,faulty goods, and refusing to return calls etc.
