hi, there the folowing is an experience my son & his partner have had with reid furniture, they ordered a leather suite @ the falkirk branch, when delivered the packing was left in place as they were decorating at the time,once the packaging was removed a few days later to find silica gel beads bags had burst& deeply pressed into the corner unit,they phoned reid customer services to report the findings, they were told one of the technicians would come to the house & carry out an inspection, on arrival he had a look & tried to remove the marks with a hair dryer to no avail, he quoted to my wife that the marks would not come out, he said he would be submitting a report, & reids would be in contact. which they did offering £100 compensation which was refused, they come back with an offer of £150 which was also refused ,I contacted reids myself & told them my son & partner wanted a replacement suite, i was told this was not possible, after a few phone calls telling reid we had contacted citzens advise & trading standards they were still not interested they phoned my son's house & said they would come & lift the suite if they were not happy, my sons partner explained it was a 13 week delivery for the siute in the first place, she also explained they had a 6 month old baby. were they to sit on the floor the girl @ customer services was not interested,i was under the impression that reids were a major player in furniture retail, but after this nightmare I would encourage the british public not spend there hard earned cash in any of the reid outlets through the country,i don't know how reid's management can treat people like this sorry for a long drawn out story but i think the people out there should be aware of what there dealing with, a very unsympathic company with no compasion jimmy h
