hi guys, i have just received an invoice from clearsky comms for £351.33. i dont remember agreeing to any advertising space with them but i do remember taking some space with another company. i also have a different address to the one showing on here. i have checked it out and it is a semi in middleton somewhere. i have some friends in the area so i will get them to check it out. i did see a comment from someone on here that said any company using live.co.uk as e-mail is iffy, i have to say that i use that e-mail and im not iffy at all, being a professional hgv instructor. i will come back on when i have more info.

Purporting to sell ad space for Childrens Safety Awareness Booklet. Say I agreed, but I did not. Taken images off our website etc to use for 'artwork'. Want £233.83 but not paid and without communication have dropped price to £210.45. Not paying now I realise that they and lots of other companies are trying to coerce money from innocent parties.

Just had the same experience. They called me suggesting a discount rate of £199.00 for an ad in some publication. All of a sudden an invoice arrives for £199.00. Checked the email address. Anyone using a @live.co.uk email address can only be up to no good and attempting something for a quick buck.

I am reporting them today to the fair trade and to the police.

This is the 5th compnay of a similar nature to do this to me on the last 2 weeks.

Contacted today from Sky Clear communications! They advised that I had agreed to a small advert for £199, but had accepted a discount to reduce price to £125. Advised them that I had never heard of them and that they could shove the invoice where the sun don't shine. She advised that we had a verbal agreement, I advised that this must be with someone else. Intend to send any communication I receive with a forwarding letter to Trading Standards and if I receive any more, to the Police. These companies and slick and well sleasy. Anyone can copy details from the yellow pages.
